Love the Spoon updates. Did you see the collection of Spoon covers at You Ain't No Picasso? Great stuff.

in Are Video Games Manly? on Art of Manliness
I agree with Evan's recent comment. No, video games are not manly. All of you "men" who are making weak arguments in favor of your games: have someone videotape you for half an hour of your gaming time, if possible without you knowing when they'll do it. Then watch the video. Then tell me that looks like a man.
Video games are for kids.

Is that other woman actually cross-eyed with Oprah delight? This one above is apoplectic. One of these days, some elder will get in there for the announcement and have three heart attacks, family sues, end of Oprah.

I agree that the pilot was strong. My wife found Crews to be a little bit of a wanker; I found him to be very entertaining; stirred up some old Agent Cooper ideas. The only immediate way this series could start to stink up the place would be to emphasize the fish-out-of-water business. OK, he's been out of society for a while; that doesn't mean he has to be completely out of touch with how to talk to people. There were glimmers of that in the pilot, and I hope it stays there.
