I was the same way during the first layoffs at my homebuilder. It was the second round that got me.

Thanks for the link. Amd that Garfield site is creepy and fascinating. Like Fox News.

cherbert I read somewhere that the Creator of Garfield found it disturbing and
hilarious. But he was into it. That really elevated my respect for him,
because he easily could have dismissed it and sued the guy. (although i
would argue that it's an interpretation)

Hey, at least you didn't puke. How much Dramamine did you take? 80?

We miss Greta. Tell her to post!

We're in the same handbasket with Patty and so far, so good on the religious issues. As far as a dad role model, Calvin's is actually a good father overall ...see where that got him. Love 'em, care for 'em, try to do what is right for them and by them. That's all that it is about.

Russett, by all accounts, was a good guy. Sometimes we take the good for granted b/c the bad is so much more attractive.

Now My Love needs to find a replacement in her Top 5 "all-powerful beings you can have an affair with that won't hurt my feelings" list.

Told ya. LGA is the worst. They get delays when it rains in Iowa because we know that is such a popular air route.

I feel your pain. Back in my telecommuter days, I'd have to make "face time" at corporate in Dallas every two months. There is no such thing as an ontime flight bteween DFW and LGA. Ever. The people at the Terminal C Chili's in Dallas knew my drinking/eating habits after a while. ("Hi, again! Presidential Margarita and Southwestern egg rolls again, sir?) Junk food and alcohol can be your friends. God's speed!
