If we're still in Cheatham County when Annie is ready to go to school, we have no qualms about sending her to Cheatham County schools. We've heard nothing but good things about the schools here. Davidson Cty schools, well, there's nothing to add there. And the private schools are too expensive...

Yeah, I've heard lots of good things coming out of Cheatham too. I'd love to see MNPS get back on its feet, but at the moment, I wouldn't be sending my kids there either if I had 'em.

Dude, where am I? It appears we are both following each other. Maybe it doesn't pick up all of your followers. Looks like there's only 200-odd avatars there; you're following 2,000.

Too bad Vandyland isn't around anymore or it probably would've made their list. I'm glad they at least got Loveless Cafe on there. Oh, and The Hermitage? I haven't been there in probably 20 years. 2 thumbs up for Ellendales.

Aw, I miss Vandyland. You had to go and remind me!

You should read _The Ground Beneath Her Feet_ by Salman Rushdie. It offers an alternate history of rock and roll, as well as a collision course with an alternate reality.

Interesting. I'd like to see you develop this further. I see that you've been thinking about this a bit. I feel like you have more to say but you just haven't gotten to it yet.

Well look at the bright side: it's got a double floor stacking system to prevent damages. (And it's a lot darker down here in Brentwood now.)

Service Unavailable. Although it is Monday and not Sunday.
Where'd you get that image? It doesn't look authentic, with the way the can is photoshopped into his hand.

Haha I just found it on google image search and thought it was hilarious. Sorry to the guy I ripped it from - would have credited him but his photobucket was locked.
And you can still get your free Dr. Pepper (if you can get the site to work)! They have extended the deadline to 6pm tonight since the site has been so glitchy.

in Complaints about GTD on Bullcrap
It's funny, I was talking about this sort of thing with Jason Echols Friday night on IM, about how "Productivity" has gotten too "religious," as Patrick touches on. (And how our whole group has all fallen off the GTD wagon.) I think we're all moving into a sort of post-GTD "thing" now. I agree with you that GTD has gotten too complicated. I no longer print out a context-based list from KGTD anymore: I've moved to a more Project-based mentality (and have thus whittled down my list of todos considerably.) In fact, I'm thinking about intentionally skipping the bulk of this week's Weekly Review since I already *know* what needs to be done and don't need to be reminded. Great post!

I recommend stressing that design isn't just about putting a pretty picture on things, but good design is about communication. On the web, functionality and accessibility are just as important, if not moreso.
Congrats on the new position!

in CSS Reset: Leveling the Playing Field (a bit) on studionashvegas
This is nice. I've seen it a few places. There's a nice CSS framework over at 960.gs, which is a 960-pixel wide grid that's useful for layout out websites, and it uses the CSS Reset framework, too. Thanks for sharing, Mitch.

in Redesign Launching on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
While I thought the old design was just fine, I think this one is pretty sharp. The only thing I miss from the old one is the photo of you on a beach somewhere, instead of this new one in a jungle.
