It's not 'A New Hope'; it's not 'Episode IV'; the title is Star Wars.

Same here. It become typical animated kiddie fare in the second half.

Maybe because people might start having Dolph Lundgren flashbacks to the 1987 movie.

First they turn abilities into some power drink-like substance. Now Heroes becomes like Prison Break, LOL.

in Tim Kring and the Saps and Dipsh*ts Controversy on HeroestheSeries.com
Viewers often invest a lot of time and thought to shows they watch and get involved in, so, yes, complaints are normal when the show goes sideways all of a sudden (in Heroes' case, the last season and the current one).

Too many storylines that go nowhere, a surfeit of characters (who die and then come back), flash forwards/backwards/sideways... The show needs to be brought back under control otherwise it is doomed to fail.

Couldn't have come at a worse time for the show, though; struggling as it is in its third convoluted season.

in Tim Kring and the Saps and Dipsh*ts Controversy on HeroestheSeries.com
The show stinks at the moment and most people know it. Instead, Kring is blaming fans watching the show from online sources for its lousy ratings rather than fixing the show's story and character problems - and high per-ep budget. We'll see if there's a season 4...

Anyone else notice that the diner character Dex in Attack of the Clones bears an uncanny resemblance to our favorite/hated Star Wars universe creator? :p

That is just f#*king brilliant! If only it happened for real before 1997...

The Connery Bonds have an escapism quality that eludes modern day attempts.

in Cool Stuff: Life-size Cylon Replica on /Film
You're right, Juan. The CG in the show for the Cylon robots (the space FX, however, are great) isn't very convincing. I'd rather they just use human actors acting a little inhuman than have the robots on the show. The re-design didn't impress me, either.

Another Street Fighter movie? Proof that Hollywood is truly insane.

I can see Carrot Top as Blanka in the cast list.

Nope. That doesn't look any better in hi-res. Still looks stoopid.

Cool. The ghost of Captain Kirk in Star Trek 90210 :)

The Shat can come back. Any Trek fan knows time-travel opens up all sorts of possibilities. Canon be damned.

The plot sounds a bit like a cross between the first Tomb Raider and purple spandex model Billy Zane's Phantom movie :)

It's nowhere near as good as the other posters (though Drew Struzan is a fine artist).

in Cool Stuff: Abandoned Refuge AT-AT Star Wars Model on /Film
Looks like a 1980 Kenner AT-AT toy that's been buried in the backyard for the past 27 years.

I guess if that's your thing, you'll enjoy Dimitri's model above :P

For me, it's kinda depressing.

in Shia LaBeouf is a “No” Man on /Film
I heard a trailer for Transformers in the video store today, and what stood out was the "No, no, no, no, no" from Shia. Not that I expected much more sophistication from a script in a Michael Bay movie.

in Promotional Photos: Batman and The Joker on /Film
The oh-so-white background doesn't do the costume design any justice, but they both look damn good; the Joker especially.

Calm down, bat-fanboys. It's always the same complaints. Save the rants till after the movie screens.

"...not a video game movie." Riiight. They better change the name of the movie, then, since millions of gamers and potential viewers know what "Prince of Persia" is! :P

in Casting Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol on /Film
Zemeckis hasn't yet leaped over the "uncanny valley" with his mo-cap technology. Beowulf is still just a nice demo; something like an extended PS3 cut scene.

Jim Carrey desperately needs a hit movie. Is this it? I don't know.
Returning? Login
