in have MBAs been devalued by the crisis? on brip blap
I definitely think it has the potential to devalue an MBA, as well as reduce the demand. This is the biggest financial scare that many people of graduate school age have experienced (as well as older people!) With all of the layoffs in the financial sector, it will certainly reduce demand and job security, and although it could recover over time, it may not ever regain its previous popularity.

Great post! I live in New Orleans, and everyone down here hopes he "straightens up" so to speak, with the selfish antics-- sometimes it does happen with a change of venue. He definitely has talent, so I hope so.
You must have been down here before, with the "muffalettas and daquiris" reference!

in 5 ways to learn from others on brip blap
You are spot on with #1- You are not always right. It is hard sometimes to realize it when you are interacting with someone and open your mind to their point of view-but it is certainly true. I know I could improve my interactions and probably learn a little more if I would think about that more often.

Very funny! I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, so I know exactly what you mean. Maybe that is why I am on the computer at 11 pm!

Great post. This is one of my favorite books as well, and has really gotten me to begin taking charge of my personal finances. (My blog is named after one of his other books, actually). I am looking forward to reading your future posts in this series.
