in Want to make a VOIP call from 30,000 feet? on atmaspheric endeavors
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for the Phweet mentions! I like your approval of open and unresticted approaches. That's what we wanted to do with Phweet. Open up the opportunity or new conversations without the need to share numbers or what device you are on. Simply click on a name, let them know why you want to talk and send. Note it can be public or private. With public calls the users can share who and what they are talking about. Others can use the same URL smart link to join the call.
Cheers

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for picking up on Phweet and our little firefox / greasemonkey plug-in. ttp://blog.phweet.com/2008/08/18/phweet-from-your-twitter-web-page/

Been a long time since I was in Dunedin. How's the Speights?

http://andrew-long.name No problems Stuart. I am very interested in the possibilities of a service like Phweet especially if use of the service is as simple and lightweight as Twitter.

Note that I did have one problem when I tried the script. I clicked the new Phweet icon for a selected user (which seemed fine). However, the script attempted to setup a call with myself rather than the other Twitter user?

Any plans to incorporate video conferencing in the future?

Speights is still around as it always will be but I no longer drink it (damn the malting process!).

Thanks for the comment BTW.

in Too many Tweeting Apps for your tweeting needs! on Josh Chandler Blog
Hi Josh,

Thanks for the very helpful hint. Phweet is still a very early alpha. I hope to have the number count soon. Just got someone that can script it so it works effectively across browsers.

I'd like to test and share Phweet with you. Phweet will become a more natural way to set up a conversation. You'll see we are probably one of the reasons Twitter is going to be huge very fast!

in Phweet gives voice for Twitter on LucaFiligheddu.com
Hi Luca,
Thank you for the great review. You've also hit many of the best services for pointing Phweet to a phone. My easiest solution for others today is Download Gizmo5 (if you don't have and account already) and then add a few dollars to their calling plan. Then forward your Gizmo5 to you Mobile. You can also use Gizmo5 on your desktop to take calls. I find you are just less likely to miss the call when your phweet is accepted.

We also have an initial API and I'd like to see that being used to put a "phweet button" on apps like Twhirl and twitterriffic. Right now we just want to make the session urls or phweets easy to use.

Look forward to hearing your ideas on how we can develop it further.
Cheers
Stuart
