I've always heard that it was good marketing to supply a partial article. That way you won't be posting duplicate content AND you're getting people to your site on a regular basis.

I do have to agree that the word 'Convoluted ' best describes this movie. While it had great visuals, I was left scratching my head at the end.

Interesting review...I wondered how the iPod rental system would work. $2.99 isn't a bad price considering you don't have to leave your home and you get almost instant results.

I like the way widgets are being developed. But the Amazon is still doesn't work that well. As of now, the widget I have for this site isn't easy to customize and display the items I want to show my visitors. But it's still cool that they're being proactive and helping people sell specific things from their web business.

Andy...that's pretty crappy traffic for what you're giving. I have the same widget installed on my site and I've seen almost NO visitors from it. Maybe they should do a little tweaking and make it worth people using it on their blog.

It seems like the search engines are REALLY competing hard to provide users with a better search experience. I think of all those Ask.com commercials which demonstrate how users can preview websites without having to spend time clicking on each link. Wonder what'll come next.

It almost seems old fashioned to go to your local mall for holiday shopping. In about 2 hours time, I can find tailored presents for all my friends and family WITHOUT leaving my home. It seems like the only that stores are good for now is to give gift ideas you can use for your online shopping.

That's weird that they went through the trouble of creating this press release but did a TERRIBLE job of providing us with a link back to their own site.

I personally would NOT hire a company that makes a huge mistake like that.

Isn't that one of points behind PR? Make it easy to find information about your site.

Good information! But I think I would just stay away from selling links on my site. Google (and other SE's) are getting really good at detecting sales links. It seems better off to stay away from offering sales links.

Seems like both are playing with fire if they're not ACTIVELY policing and deleting copyrighted material. Didn't YouTube learn anything from the Viacom lawsuit. I figured they would find a way to find and get rid of other people's content.

Yeah, I guess you're right. But it seems like the rules change every day. And if you're not aware of any "new rules" then could be penalized without even knowing that you're doing something wrong.

I've ready your previous post and this one is more helpful for people who'd like to venture into internet retail. Telling what to avoid and what to do instead comes across as really trying to help out and would get a lot more favorable comments like the ones above. Great stab at humor too, with regard to not trying to be a consultant, at the beginning of the article.

Many good products and services are still practically unknown to a lot of potential customers because of the points covered here. If only the owners or operators behind these small businesses make an effort to know more about what's available to them through the internet, they probably would think twice about not having an online presence, whether marketing or making online business transactions.

I have to agree with both those in favor and against it. The concept's really good, but if the maps are not on a separate panel that wouldn't delay the next person from being serviced, then that's a self-defeating functionality.

I wonder if this music can be easily sent to your iPod? Part of the reason many people use iTunes is the seemless way the songs appear in your music folder then on your portable mp3 player.

It does seem illegal to completely control who you use a phone carrier. People who have the iPhone have no control over how much they have to pay to AT&T. Maybe this suit will put a little more control back into the hands of the consumer.
