Does your hat fit your head anymore? ;-). Very nice being quoted in the NY Times. Time to hit the speaking circuit.

in The Big Bang Theory of Launching a Product on Instigator Blog
As a marketer and software user, this is something I back away from. Why? Well, often the first release isn't really ready for prime time. It's not really 1.0, it's more like 0.6. Five iterations and much customer pain later, it's somewhere around 1.0. It's exactly the reason I stay about 1 or 2 generations behind on many apps or OS (moving to Mac OS 10.5? - not just yet, it ain't fully baked), and like Greg up in comment 4, bail quickly if I see too frequent updates.
But hey, if version 1.0 is rock solid and you're just adding great new features, well, have at it!

in 5 Things That Keep Me Awake At Night on Instigator Blog
Gosh, so young and so earnest. Here are some suggestions for what should keep you up at night:
1. Did I drink enough beer today?
2. That steak I had for lunch - should it have been bigger?
3. Is it worth planning now for a middle age crisis? If so, which red convertible should I buy? And what multiple of my salary should it cost?
4. What etiquette is involved in going into a hard core bike shop and ordering a custom Harley?
5. Eliot Spitzer and me - contrast and compare.
Other than that, go for a good run before bed and get some sleep.

I have a really easy tip. First thing when I get in, I check email. Answer what needs to be answered, ignore the rest. Hit send. Review the rest one more time. Anything critical that needs attention? Didn't think so. Turn email off. Leave it off till lunch. Repeat above. It gives you chunks of time.
Want more tips? Listen to Tony Robbins' Time of Your Life. Seriously. (Hey Ben, how did you like Tony?) Mega tips on time management which gives you the time to FOCUS on the RIGHT THINGS and get the job done.
Within 10 seconds of hitting submit here, my email goes off. One more thing. No Blackberry, no Twitter, no MyBlogLog. Dead serious. Do or do not. No "try". No pretending.....

I went to hear Bill and Mitch and liked them both a lot. I had never paid any attention to Anthony Robbins in the past (hey a void in my life), but wow, what a show, what energy! The guy is worth the millions he makes every year (I heard somewhere else he'd cleared $156MM one year - that's nearly a half a mil a day!). The guy who really rocked my socks was Mike Lipkin. Never heard of him before.... what a great opener! Glad I went!
