Welcome to the Feast, and Happy Friday. I live in the south as well (although on the opposite side of the continent!!) Your dessert sounds soooo yummy. I love homemade salsa and while I'm not sure what tri[tip steak is... but if it has something to do with steak, it has to be good, right?

My husband had his jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. He definitely lost weight, but still "ate" a lot! Smoothies are great. Our favorite is in the blender put: 1 banana, about 1/2 cup of yogurt (we use plain, but vanilla is good too), about 1/2 cup of some kind of juice (orange, cranberry-grape...any kind), and some frozen fruit. I just bought bags of frozen fruit at Costco. This is SO filling and it's SO good! Don't worry about the talking, you'll be able to talk ...it'll just take a little getting use to on others to listen closely!

Been reading you for quite a while now, and finally had something to say:)

At the risk of seeming superficial, I'll be the first to say it - practicality aside, I'd want a nice piece of bling bling on my finger (guess I'm just a sucker for sparkly things =)). Having said that I do think the money would be better spent on other things. So, I'm thinking along the lines of either not wearing a diamond ring at all or if I do, I'd want it to be a nice one.

As for whether a man's judged by the ring... well I've known plenty of well-to-do guys that don't buy extravagant rings and plenty of poor dudes that go into debt buying massive rocks. So no, I definitely don't judge.

Oh and I always thought it was 3-4 months?

One last thought... it doesn't stop with the ring... same issues (costs, perceptions) apply to the wedding event itself.

I heard Prague is amazing! I hope you guys have a blast there. And yes, I'm leaving this comment just to show you I DO read your blog =)
