Wells its great it works for you, but still no luck for me. I understand this is a beta software and is likely to have bugs.

But still some bugs I have reported to Google starting with the Google Toolbar beta 4, Google calendar IE issue and now this one has all not been fixed.

Atleast they should make a effort to fix those reported bugs, which they don't.

Hart those backups usually don't show up, I have tried with two different computers and it dosen't sync.

Just what I upload from here is shown on the current PC and not on the other, I am sure they may be working on it.

1. Uninstall the current version you have.
2. Download and install the new Office Beta 2 from Microsoft's site

Doing this will ensure that it works again.

Sorry to be unable to help you, I tried the same on my windows xp box and can copy over my files to the box.net account.

As I had said, I have only tested it on a Windows XP box, as I have still not been near a system using windows 2000 for quite sometime.

But still will try and get one installed on a test machine to test it out and get back to you.

No it does not comply with adsense regulations, you can check the link Ad image placement for adsense. If you are using such ads please remove it to comply with the program policies of adsense.

If you are in any doubt about google policies, you can directly contact the adsense support they are very prompt to reply and you can expect your answers within 24-48 hours.

Wallce, you have to press both the power button and the home button at the same time. If you do not press it simultaneously it will just turn off the power to the screen.

@Manan - I agree that it would definitely make Chrome a killer, about the freezing thing I have seen it too, it is usually because of Flash based sites, I usually use Process Exlporer and kill the window using the highest CPU, that allows me to continue using the browser session without it crashing fully.

Another thing I do is to keep a shortcut to restore closed windows, this helps to get back to where you left http://techie-buzz.com/how-to/google-chrome-res..., also after a crash you will see a link to open all tabs in the history menu :-)

It is fine if you do that, once you are accepted as a publisher you can use the ad code on any site. You will not have to contact them when you remove it from your main site too.

Yea true, but don't worry most antivirus programs can track such virus, that is why you may see that even though your emails contain only images it may still get flagged as virus.

I have been using it as a primary tool for quite some time. I used BlogDesk too which was a bit buggy and used to flicker and lose focus from the writing area weirdly so I gave up on it.

I tried Post2Blog when it became free but again was not comfortable using it. So this release definitely is on top of the list with the additional features.

There are several advantages like I do not need to worry about uploading pictures to the site and can directly add pictures from my desktop. The writer will directly upload it to the server.

Other than that its just the ease with the editor nothing more, I am more comfortable writing and saving drafts on live writer which I publish when I have completely checked it out.

Pelf this happens when you are using a theme that is sidebar ready and shows you an option to add plugins to the sidebar.

I faced this problem too when I was using a theme that supported plugins to be dragged and dropped but not widgets. After I dragged and dropped a widget nothing would work unless i deactivated the widget.

I first tested the theme on a identical installation on my local machine. I did use the preview theme plugin to test out before going live, but preview theme has a small flaw in it where it only works for one url and you have to modify the url's for navigation.

First of all the quick reply is possible using another plugin I had created earlier called Better Comments Manager :).

For your queries.

a. The issue with a has been fixed I am releasing a new version probably today or tomm that should take care of it.
b. I understand that issue but I am trying a way to fix it.
c. I am running a pre check now in the latest version. I would absolutely fix all issue you report and will definitely take this into the fix process when I release the next version.

Yes this plugin is young and so the FAQ's are not up to the mark. I will definitely add this to the FAQ too.

This plugin on its own does not show the comments below the replying comment. You can at anytime use Brian's Threaded Comments and it will automatically switch to that view when you use the threaded reply to reply to a comment.

Yes the ftp user has all access to the files after the upgrade is complete. Yes those files are left untouched WPAU does not delete any files.

Kyle the javascript for mybloglog and technorati both loaded while the page loaded thus making the site slower. The feedflare does not have much problems as it loads only after the body has loaded.

Other than that it does not matter if you move the widgets to the footer since it's inside the body and will always use the load time.

The plugin does not delete old files, it overwrites all the existing files with new ones. The first step always backs up the new files so you have access to the older files too.

Yes I guess its ebay which has a problem you can easily game the ebay system since they have so many users and very little scanning of what users add to categories but it makes more sense to me not to get caught in a awkward position as my users may thing that I am the one who is promoting the product.

Well its part of the life plan and organize, yes I do agree that when Children come there are different times but all these planning is for them so that once I reach a stage when I have children I would reach a position that I can devote maximum time to the chile :-)

Everythings worked wonderfully till now hopefully it will work better in the future, I am only 24 yet so lot of time for a child.

It should work fine on 2.3 now, there may be some issues but once I know what they it should work fine. You will get a status to upgrade in your plugins page so that you can upgrade to the latest version hence forth.

Hey Chuck,

You seem to have a problem that many others have where the directory you host the WordPress in is not same as your actual blog URL. I am working on the changes, and also working on testing a mock release upgrade from WordPress 2.3 to 2.3.1 to check compatibility with WordPress 2.3.

Unfortunately my plugin is not part of WordPress Extend so I will be also adding a API to check for upgrades for my plugin in the usage screens.

The error you may be seeing is because of incompatible plugin with WordPress 2.3 to solve this I would suggest you disable one plugin at a time and see if the error goes away.

If the error persists you can re-enable that plugin, but I would be quite sure that you will be able to resolve the issue by using this method, since I myself had a issue and disabling few plugins those errors went away.

Mani the nofollow does the same thing, what I meant to say was with this trick you can not only follow Google's nofollow rule but this will help users to track and manage all links that are there for the advertiser.

It depends on how you see it, well many a times users may forget to use a nofollow atrribute but it all comes down to the ease of how you want to do it.

@ReviewSaurus The plugin works fine from 1.5.2 up to 2.3 for upgrades so you can upgrade with the version. You may want to check my post on how to get rid errors after upgrading to WordPress 2.3

HiFi Guy, Yes Google search engines will index all the content in each tab, the content is present on the page and the Google Bot will always see it.

There have been a bit of downtimes of late, the reason why I decided to move is because of that. Yups they are better than many of the other ones. But I am moving to a dedicated server from my friend, it sits in COLO in NY and we will both maintain it.

Hey Ryan,

The problem is that Google will penalize you if you have paid links, I have sent an email to Google asking them to verify if this is possible to do.

The main reason is that they do not want you to have paid links and advertisers do not want to have nofollow. Since anyways the links will be irrelevant to the Google bot it could be easily hidden from them. In one way you are trying to get to the best of both sides.

I do not suggest anyone use this before consulting Google first. Also you are not cloaking when you are hiding links from the SE robots you just tell do not want them to follow it. If advertisers are happy to use no follow well and good but if they do not then what does the publisher do?

@Innovations well many users simply unsubscribe from partial feeds since it makes little sense to look at data in two places. I agree that sploggers make full use of this but there is not real way you can stop these from occuring.

Every different person has their different opinions and so I am not too much into partial feeds as I feel that I would rather subscribe to those feeds that provide me with full content.

That's the catch many people do not use the full quota of the disk space. The space is not reserved for you but it will actually grow as you use it.

Hi All,

Important Message for those whom WPAU is not working, this is a workaround for those users for whom the plugin does not put the site into maintenance mode.

Try changing all folder permissions to 777 and then running the plugin, once that is done go back and change the file permission to 644.

That's it I have emailed this solution to many users and it has worked from them.

Well Mahesh it's become too easy to do everything these days including adding a social networking to the site, the main thing though is the service you provide through them.

I for only never login into Facebook as I feel it is too complicated and jumbled up but on the other hand Orkut is just to easy for anyone to understand, so it also depends what ease of use you give to the user in the end.

As for Nair Tea Shop I bet you will be able to order some tea online in the future :)

Well yes it freezes it but say in case of Firefox which makes other applications slower you can easily suspend it and then after you finish other tasks once again resume it so that you do not lose any open tabs.

Thew this plugin downloads the latest version whichever is available in your case since you had manually upgraded to 2.5 it would downgrade you since at the time the official release was 2.3 its not a bug its how the plugin should actually perform.

Mark yes you can upgrade the version from 2.3.3 to 2.5 without issues, the issues only crop up after you upgrade to 2.5 so whichever way you go upgrade and then run the automatic upgrade

Well hassan this should be a much more faster method since you do not have to plugin the USB device then remove it and plug it into the other PC. Using CopySpot once you have copied a file it will be available on the other PC for pasting

I guess once the PC is locked you can only start it up by entering your password. If anyone turns off the bluetooth device after your PC is locked I don't think they would be able to login to your PC.

Morgan I do use Evernote and love it too, in fact I made a mention about it in the post too, these softwares are just like a extension to Evernote, they sit on your desktop all the time giving you a quick view of things you need to do quickly.

Ashero you cannot exactly undo it, but as soon as the tags are added you will get a option to edit them so you can effectively make changes right then and there.

Adam, I too have started to give Weave a try and hope that it starts to include all the features from Google Browser Sync. It was really one good tool to do everything and making a replacement would be hard if not impossible,

I am just wondering if Google is short of staff or are starting to ignore a browser they supported so well, for Instance where is support for Google Toolbar for Firefox 3? There are quite a few other add-ons that have been ditched.

And it is not that they have not had ample amount of time to release updates, many smaller add-on developers have got on with it, it surprises me that a company as big as Google does not have resources to move on with their work.

@Palmetto Installing the add-ins is fairly simple, follow the steps listed below.

Download the add-in to your PC.
Close Outlook before you install the add-in (most add-ins require this so it is better to close Outlook yourself)
Install the add-in software just like any other regular software, following the instructions
Start Outlook to start using the add-in

A very nice post indeed, but I strongly disagree with not being able to make a impact with a blog post. We Indians have the same mentality where we shy away from doing things because we have a general feeling that it will not be useful or carry no impact on others.

The reason why there is no impact is because people are pessimists and fear a negative outcome even out of something positive.

If you think we have to grow as a country, don't think about what impacts you make while you say something, do it selflessly, write about it and let the others decide about whether it is worthwhile or not. Don't decide it for yourself.

Till we change our mentality, there is certainly no way we are going to create a impact, that's the bottom line.

Can be pretty hard on you at times, what I do at times when the browser crashes at a critical time is to check if the order has already been placed or not.

I only order a second time after I have confirmed that my card has not been charged, even though it may take a few hours to confirm that.

Uhm, A microft custom domain, I wouldn't take it for anything.

I had one at my old domain, and it was way too wierd. I switched happily to Google domains.

Live or not live, Google rocks, its the livliest, don't ask me the benifits its innumerable.

This is good but i have using this since one year using Gmail Skins extension which allows me to use Google personalized home with gmail, so i get google feeds reader along with other things thats incoroporated with google personalized.
