All of a sudden MVD seems to be scrambling to find more water. (Tried this 10 yrs ago and could not locate a new source ). Last I knew the developer had a series of open issues that was going to be brought up in this round. If there is concern about time with public input, why not do a meeting on a Saturday? This project needs to be reviewed very closley and in great detail. If the mall is going to built, I would hope that all sensitive issues will be examined and have backup plans in case of failures. However this project goes could open up the floodgates for more large malls and big box.

Re: Merrimack's water system cresting, residents asked to use less on their lawns

How can MVD supply water to the mall?

Re: Subscriber not happy with Comcast changes

I have had the box since Jan 08 and have been through 5 boxes. Merrimack will be responsible for All road improvments and infrastructure after the mall is built. Besides, these are going to premimum stores with very little discounts. The Mall group is paying for the Merrimack consultants. Look at Exit 10 at 5pm, usually backed up into Nashua and well into exit 11. Take a deep breath. Iwas making a joke. did I hit a nerve? The issues you speak of are caused by both parties. If someone wants to change Washington, start with term limits, No pensions or life time medical coverage for politicians. I doubt our fore fathers wanted to see a 40 year senator or house rep with a life time pension. At this point in time I am sick of both parties. Understand what ?that liberals tend to spend money they don't have .Only to add more taxes, borrow more money. ALL politicians like to spend our money on many itmes that are worthless.

No one wants to work on the problems. where are are house leaders? ON VACATION! Barney Frank’s efforts to deregulate Fannie Mae throughout the 1990s.

So did Frank’s partner, a Fannie Mae executive at the forefront of the agency’s push to relax lending restrictions.

Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank's relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie’s assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

Although Frank now blames Republicans for the failure of Fannie and Freddie, he spent years blocking GOP lawmakers from imposing tougher regulations on the mortgage giants. In 1991, the year Moses was hired by Fannie, the Boston Globe reported that Frank pushed the agency to loosen regulations on mortgages for two- and three-family homes, even though they were defaulting at twice and five times the rate of single homes, respectively.
I am going off subject, however according to Foxnews the following regarding Barny Frank and the Fannie May mess

Three years later, President Clinton’s Department of Housing and Urban Development tried to impose a new regulation on Fannie, but was thwarted by Frank. Clinton now blames such Democrats for planting the seeds of today’s economic crisis.

I should correct myself. Democrats tend to want to tax and spend. Look at the NH house last year and how many new taxes are in place. If I don't have the money, I cut back. I cannot borrow money if I am short funds. The democrats are the ones who want to have a sales/income tax, that is a known fact. Yes, I have kids and when mine are out of school, I too will be paying for others.

Re: Hate-driven liberals out to destroy Palin

For all of those who think Palin has no expereince being a VP, How does Obama have the experience being President? He eventually became recognized as one of the most conservative governors in the nation. During his tenure, the state reinstituted the death penalty and abolished a majority of New Hampshire's taxes (income, capital gains, sales, etc.).
We need Mel back as our Gov.

He was also a strong proponent of state sovereignty. When Thomson learned Massachusetts tax agents were at New Hampshire liquor stores taking down the numbers on cars with Massachusetts license plates, he had them arrested.[4] When he learned that Maine had arrested a Portsmouth (New Hampshire) lobsterman, in Maine waters, he began what was known as the "Lobster war."
