in Outlet developer closes on land on Nashua Telegraph
According to their (Chelsea)financial information Chelsea has 18.94 billion in Debt and 773.5 million in cash. One of their largest malls in Fl is facing Foreclosure. Last I recall Mall was going to cost about 125 million to construct and that was a few years back. Will be interesting to hear how they will obtain the loans to build.

in Beaver trapping story perpetuates myths on Nashua Telegraph
How else would you "dispose" of them.? The only other way to dispose of them is to shoot them.

Beaver traps are not leg hold type. They are dssigned to breal their necks. Beaver traps are positioned in their trail runs at the edge of the water.

Whoever placed the trap in the woods where a dog, person can step in it did the placement illegally.

And annoyed, I was commenting on the first comment. I aslo love this website to read comments like yours.

So, the beavers can be moved to your backyard?
Annoyed Yes I am sure that is an open invitation for all beavers to move to his back yard. Did you even read what he said or did you just skim over it and make an opinion before you got all of the facts?

He didn't even say he was against killing the beavers, he just said he was against the method of killing.

I love this website, while I do come here to read articles, I more enjoy the comments section just to I can see how stupid people can be.

Hey Nashua,

Just be glad Merrimack has tolls Or you might not have been given all those free upgrades.

Yes, Nashua has many more reps and power than almost all other towns and cities, be thankful of that.

TERM LIMITS Time to get rid of those there for more than 18 years!! would be nice if the people could vote Yea or Nea on term limits, and not those who are in office. As they will nevr allow term limits on them. And why should they, free medical and a nice pension, as well as various other free perks.

in Civil liberties at risk with seatbelt legislation on Nashua Telegraph
cshras,

The Houase tried to pass this last year and failed, So I guess as long as you are wearing a seatbelt you can talk/text on a phone, shave, apply makeup and read the paper.

next year will be motorcycle helmets, then skiers will need to wear helmets. next will be riding a pedal bike, next will be who knows. The nanny's will think of somthing theey consider unsafe and want tp protect us. How about a training law on hiking?
commonwealth Tim,
I think your point about, where do we we draw the line with government interference is a valid one.

However, if 42,000 Americans died each year as a result of hiking, then I would be for a law that trained hikers in what to expect when they hike and how to keep themselves safe.

The difference between motor vehicle deaths and skiing and hiking accidental deaths is huge.

Plus, it is established precedent that the government is liable for travel on the public roads. We sue the government if they don't take actions to keep people safe when people drive. Not so much in skiing and hiking, we don't necessarily sue the government in these caes the liability, if any, is in those instances on the owners of the land.

We have already involved the government in auto safety, we dragged them in.

in Buckle up for debate over belts on Nashua Telegraph
Well, at least I can still text message, shave, read the paper and generally not pay attention while driving.

Wearing my seatbelt will save my life as I am doing the above while driving.

What will the goverment do to save us next year? Maybe, helmets and face shields while golfing?
