I think that it is long overdue to look at the idea of developing fresh new leadership within the African American political class. Too few of the leaders in that realm are really interested in training the burgeoning African American leaders from generations X or Y, and that has to change. The paradigm has shifted and BHO is the personified example of that. He did it right. Others need to follow his lead down the elective office hierarchy.
I'm looking forward to reading the perspectives of those from the black blogosphere in Denver, and I hope that it will be represented in Minneapolis, as well. That should be an interesting experience.
Obama's response to this sham olive branch extension was on point, and it needed to be said. How dare HRC, in second place, try to "give" magnanimity. Please. How many ways can one say "loud and wrong" to her?
