Yaeger 2009 dvds say that govt and nfp do not have any simulations.
Can u say where you got that info Jeff. I am taking the exam next window, so I do not want a surprise on the exam day.
another71 I think I got mixed up...not sure why I thought they were eligible for sims. Phil has responded and I'll defer to him. Regardless, my position on sims has always been that **if you know the material well enough to do well on MCQs - you know the material well enough to handle the topic in a sim if you encounter it**.

If you study Gov't and know the entries to open and close a period - that knowledge applies to both MCQs and a sim...you should be able to do it for both. So - if you study the Yaeger DVDs and you know gov't accounting pretty well...you don't need to worry about a sim because you're well armed to handle anything thrown at you.

That's my take on sims...I am not a big proponent of practicing them for the very reason stated above. Some will disagree on this strategy, but it's my belief that if you can master the MCQs over a topic - you can master a sim. With that said - do whatever your instructors tell you to do. :)

-Jeff
Phil Yaeger Annon:

I went to aicpa meeting in april 2009 and nothing was mentioned about sims on govt and non profit for 2009. I am going to another meeting with the aicpa exam division august 2009. If there are any changes we will do an immediate webcast to update.

But right now, just study what cindy says.

in 40K EDITORIAL: Five Precepts of 40K on Bell of Lost Souls
I'd like to see the rest of the BoLS crew write insightful posts like jwolf's. This is a nice change from "check out this one-trick pony combination of wargear I found!" posts that I see a lot of on BoLS.

The difference being: jwolf speaks of strategy, understanding your advantages and limitations as well as your opponent's, staying alert and improvisation when your plan goes to hell. I find that most of the other Tactica posts are about ideas that are situational at best, require better-than-average-to-extraordinary dice, (most of the time you can count yourself lucky if you can roll even average dice) and often rely on your opponent being a blithering idiot who will do nothing to defend himself.

My thanks to jwolf, your post was quite refreshing!

Sathos the main difference would actually appear to be generalisation vs specification.
commenting on the proper implementation of those one trick ponies is as important as a typical "jwolf general combat 101".

Those one trick ponies sure come in handy for the casual player who comes up against the "ex GW rep who brought 10 nob bikers to a friendly club"...if you just happen to have the polar opposite tournament style army with you that simply involves models you dont often use then it is handy to know how to combat the guy's army without simply looking at it and telling him what a prick he was for bringing it. playing him at his own game could teach him humility and next week he may bring a more appropriate force.
if you didnt know how to do that before reading the article then that is 1-nil to your club as you just gained a player instead of sending one away.
SinCollector The problem is that not everyone who is a great player is a great writer. Jon is very good at translating his thoughts and ideas into the written word. He's also extremely analytical and able to determine why a particular move or unit worked or failed. Some of the other Fly Lords are very competitive players whose cunning is of a more instinctual sort.

Go Andy! Go Andy!

Honestly, nobody on the southside (well, maybe Tina from the Funhouse. And the guy from Sotto Santi) is hating on Edwin the hot dog guy. He's nice, his dogs are good, he followed all the rules.

I talked to a city councilperson about this and they were all, "Sorry, not my department." WTF.

So check it out - today the guy from Sotto Santi is grilling sausages in a cart he just bought, It's set up on 4th Street in front of his restaurant. I find this offensive because I have to walk through a cloud of greasy smoke. Also, I'm pretty sure he didn't follow all the licensing procedures and stuff that Edwin did. But it does smell like the Festa de San Gennaro.

in Coming Up: Three New Products Of 3GJUICE on iPhone battery extender
I just picked up the new iPhone 3Gs, which replaced my iphone 3G. There seems to be a small compatibility issue with the Major Mojo and 3Gs; i have linked the error message from my 3Gs below.

I was using the Major Mojo for about 2 weeks flawlessly with the original 3G. But as soon as I got the 3Gs, i tested if it would charge. in short it still does, but now there is an extra step required.

1. You attach the 3Gs with the supplied connectors and then hit the charge button.
2. The 3Gs will display an error message stating "Charging is not supported by this accessory."
http://i43.tinypic.com/1z2hesj.jpg
3. if i unplug my 3Gs from the MajorMojo and quickly replug it in, it will then start to recharge as normal.

Any idea how to remove this quirk or malfunction?

3gjuice Mailed you the solution already, but let me post it here too. Just use your
original iPhone cable and all will work fine! As you told me yourself :)

The worst thing you could have done is bring this to more people's attention with your website. As opposed to simply letting this hate-site it sit its own little corner with its own little opinion, you've presented it to a multitude of people who have an extreme negative attitude towards the hate-site. Controversy generated by this sudden influx of attention will only allow the issue to grow. You've given this hate-site exactly what they wanted: Attention.

Araabi Sharif I agree. This site is so obscure, bizarre, and amateur that left alone it likely would have died.
genotype Anyone who believes this site's content gets what they deserve: misinformation. If they're dumb enough to take this as gospel, then they'll be dumb enough to believe any of the other stupid stuff that can be found formatted in ones and zeroes. One can only hope they don't pass their DNA on.

When i connect my iphone to the laptop via the supplied usb to iphone cord (retractable), itunes does not initiate the sync process. But it does charge.

Is this normal?
3gjuice If you use the Major Mojo: yes that's true. We advise in the manual to
use your own iPhone-cable (the white one) and not the bonus back cord
which is meant for charging only.

in Manhattanville property owners fight eminent domain in court | Columbia Spectator on Columbia Spectator
Ruth: Which properties within the footprint have been paying taxes? And how much? Do you think that all the new jobs created by the expansion will be exempt from being taxed?

Anon: Saying that the Columbia expansion won't benefit the community in any way is a silly statement.

Businesses are being compensated for their properties and/or relocated and improved housing will be provided to the few residents who will be displaced........and yes, the expansion will benefit the public by creating jobs, increasing tax revenue, improving/creating parks, creating new schools and supporting local education initiatives, and by possibly developing cures for diseases that some opponents may be afflicted by....among many other benefits.

David Anon
In defense of Columbia's expansion, you state "relocated and improved housing will be provided to the few residents who will be displaced." I will ask you a question - have you even been "displaced" from your residence? ANY displacement of residents in Manhattanville, as a result of the expansion is a travesty, the number is irrelevant. Having worked in West Harlem for several years and having met many residents in the community, it is intolerable that those who have lived there for years will be forced to lose their homes.

AutoNation (AN) is also impossible to short/borrow. No shares "available." As for SunTrust (STI), very interesting that they did not immediately price an overnight secondary to cover their $2.2bn need. Would say there's a very good chance that the company is bought by everyone's hero bank - JPM. Very good chance, IMO, that could come together over this weekend or the holiday weekend. Thoughts?
