With a post title like that i had to pay attention. For a moment i thought the one and only Dave Winer was referring to my blog. Well, not that lucky after all. That won't deter me from keep listening to your insightful posts

in What I hate about real-time web (your productivity goes to hell) on Scobleizer
And most important, we should start thinking of ways to port these filters, groups and preferences. Recently i wrote about the need of extending the POrtable COntacts (Google) beyond contact data, and extend to the way we control our lifestreams.
It should define not only the how often, but also to whom, when and where. Walled gardens are fine for those services, but terrible for users once they intend to easily setup the way they manage the "continuous partial attention".

If your to be released tool is any good, try to think of portable filters. You users would thanks you.

Agora só te falta um about, para a malta que quer saber sobre ti. A CIA, o MI5 ou a PJ, por exemplo.

in How to Use Friendfeed as a Collaborative Business Tool on Chris Brogan
Your idea was at hand, and i suspect several useres were already playing with it.

For instance, a group of portuguese bloggers have setup a room, were content is bookmarked and feeds are imported:

http://friendfeed.com/rooms/ptblogs

So, besides business collaboration, we'll have also grassroots movements, for example.

I suppose they're doing a bucket test. Publish to some smaller audience and see how it fits.

I always wondered why can search results extend beyond text. As long as enough bandwidth is available, this would probably offer a better experience.

A opt-in program, where companies could assign videos to their search result, the same way Google does with their suggested page results, would be a interesting alternative.

After all, you could later plug it into Miro or Joost and have video results. Not to mention that it would definitely push technology regarding meta-information in video.

EricFriedman I agree that allowing a choice would be a good option. Allowing third
parties into the mix may not be the best for the user experience though, the
engines would want to host and control the video flow and be the gatekeepers
to the content. The more you have an advertiser on your platform the more
likely they are to use the system.

Forget the @verygreenteam hype. Having done a mashup with their colors, which is like so Web 2.0, they certainly suck.

There's now a @greenredteam , mostly followers from Portugal, with 38 and counting

You should try Gaim (PC) or Adium (Mac).
Of course, these IM clients bypass advertising.

You're missing one big established player: Yahoo Pipes
Although Google provides a similar feature, Google Mashup Editor (http://code.google.com/gme/), it' developer focused, so the killer app would be a consumer oriented "rss mashup" . Maybe co-branded by Lego.
