Why a penguin?

To take advantage of the penguin craze of course. Unless you've been in a hole the last 2 years you would have known of a huge award winning documentary as well as several animated films including Happy Feet.

Using this as a marketing tool makes them, well....smart like a penguin.

Is it that hard to make something like this with an actual electronic voice that just tells you the time?

Furthermore, why couldn't they just install a motion detector with a very small detection area? Then by just sweeping your hand within say 6" of the unit it tells the time? Or maybe a small remote that velcros to the headboard.

Unfortunately my favorite, videohybrid.com probably has it's days numbered as well. I'll never forget going there and watching spidey 3 just 2 days after release into theaters. In DIVX quality no less!

They cut back to just new release movies until they unveil their supposed mega upgrade. Even at that, I loved it when I strolled over to watch the new Die Hard film.

I did warn them but alas when you're dealing with teenagers (yes, it's run by an all teen group) its best just to roll with it and enjoy.

Now this is something worth thinking about. I can't really see it handling a hard winter but in the warmer climate areas it looks like a great option.

The price isn't ridiculously out of reach for the average person as well.

Good luck griding down a diamond. Besides 99% of diamond powders sold are synthetic. Diamond powders are used in many facets (pun intended) of the computer world.

I am in the business and without diamond powders a great majority of the machines and processes in use today wouldn't be possible. Even the space shuttle couldn't fly without diamond powder.

Seems you drink every drop of GM's propaganda kool aid! They already had a battery rated at 350 miles but they sold the rights to an oil company. Just part of their keeping alternatives just out of reach program. Remember all those electric cars GM leased and then took back because they worked too well and didn't require lots of parts and maintenance? Of course taking them back and refusing to release them was only part of the plan. The rest was to crush all of the cars into oblivion even though they were all virtually new. By the way, what would an oil company do with the rights to a battery? Think about it.

I don't care how concerned or devoted GM looks to alternatives on their commercials, they along with the other car companies and big oil are going to attempt to keep us dependent on oil until every last drop is gone! And with plenty of sheeple out there that believe everything told to them I'd say they will have no trouble.

Dude, you can do the exact same thing by making a dish out of cardboard and covering it with foil.

Once complete you attach it to your rubber coated antenna and do a little point adjustment. You can find how to's on this very gadget just by doing a simple search, which is what you do most of the time anyway.

Cost: approx $0.10 and I will bet it works as well as the fancy knick knack above.

I'd say 13 is the best but I did notice that nobody tried to redo style of the Ohgizmo logo. That's the first thing I'd do however I didn't really read the rules as it may have been mandatory to leave that as is.

Listen cracking wisenhimers! I have no idea who Snake what's his name is nor do I care. I do realize that he's obviously in some video game but since I have a life, I don't play video games. The point is that lots of video game characters are modeled after real people and many of them are not famous. IE: the guy that was getting stiffed by the GTA people.

I was merely pointing out the differences and yes I did know that the entire story was for comic relief. However, I can take it and @2 did throw out a pretty good one.

Most people that drive and use the phone at the same time are in another world. Driving behind them is extremely frustrating and most are just women rambling to their girlfriends (who they will likely be seeing within the hour). This is not only dangerous but selfish. Cops seldom pull over people for cel phones even though it's on a par with drunk driving.

When I was a kid we had a dog that was dumber than a box of rocks. He used to pi$$ all over the furniture which drove my mother insane. I just couldn't understand why she disliked that dog so much until I grew up and had to start buying my own furniture.

To go along with the theme, one time he ate a piece of rope (why? I have no idea) and I know that because it didn't really digest. One day I see him running around with this rope hanging out of his pooper. My friend took a shovel and slammed it down on the rope securing it to the ground and the dog kept running. The rope ended up being about 4 ft. long. Needless to say the dog gave out a little yelp as that rope evacuated his body.

These are already available. They are called injection pens. It's not really the needle but the size of said needle. They now make needles in diameters so small that you can't even feel it go in.

The only way I can see this working is if they figured out a way to charge the system with minimal battery exhaustion. Battery replacement is $70 so could it be that you use up a battery in a month or 2 and then install a new one? Your old battery gets recycled and the whole thing goes in a circle.

Drugs don't remove bad memories. I can certainly tell you that some people's lives are forever altered due to traumatic stuff that's planted in their subconscious. I think this is a good thing that would benefit many. Imagine if you could go back in a persons memory right before they started their road to depression and remove the trigger such as a rape or beatings from a parent. You could in effect stop cycles of abuse in generations of families for example. There are so many other things I can think of that this kind of thing would benefit.

It's unfortunate that the only American car (I think) has so much HP but pales in performance to everything else. Where's the Corvette ZR1?

I am pleased however that the Camaro is affordable and could easily be modified to improve performance. My 1985 IROC-Z is still my all time favorite owned car. Having chicks taking off their shirts at spring break to get a ride didn't hurt. I hopefully will be getting one of these new Camaro's, maybe in year 2 of production. Only problem is that eventually the roads will be flooded with them and then you have no individuality.

The difference between soda and water for instance is carbonation. When the level of the soda is equal to the level of the spout it is still helped along by the extra gas in the evacuated portion of the bottle. So, it is still under enough pressure to get most of the soda out. However, I think when it get to about half a glass full you are supposed to remove the jigger and pour the remainder anyway.

You know, I used to love peanut M&M's but I've noticed the last couple of years that something is definitely different about the taste and not in a good way. The chocolate seems denser, chalky and not smooth. It almost tastes like they are mixed with sawdust. Could it be that melamine stuff or whatever it's called? Used to be that you would occasionally get a bad peanut which was tolerable but now they are just plain bad and it would seem they are getting away with it.

Suffice it to say, the quality is gone and I will not spend another dime only to taste 2 bad M&M's and then throw the bag away. So why should I support the brand by buying the featured item here?

You can deny it all you want but people do commit crimes at least in part due to their involvement with such media. As much of a disappointment as the production Volt is, this car is pretty awesome. IF they could get the price down another 10K , they'd likely be able to sell double the amount they could produce.

Battery swapping stations along major I's. Probably about 5 years off but I'd imagine it would be a viable side business for gas station owners. Drive 280 miles, stop in to a Super TA along I-90 and for say $20 you get a fresh 300 mile battery. Of course you could always take a smokin hot chick along and just stop at a motel every 300 for 4 hrs of *cough* rest.

I was lucky enough to grow up in a small town surrounded by national forestland. Naturally I spent a great deal of time in the woods hunting, fishing and just enjoying nature. I was also lucky enough to be around as a bald eagle population came back into the area. I have always been amazed and enamored over birds of prey. They truly are some of God's greatest creations.

That's about the only good thing about Comcast broadband. They only have one level of residential service and over the past 4 years the speed has gone from 3mbps to 16mbps but the price does not go up with the speed changes.

I just purchased the bigger Studio 17 and am just getting to know it after an exchange for the first one that had a power supply problem. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!! OF course when you call to purchase you have no problems at all but after that it turns into a nightmare. It took me 10 calls to finally get the exchange. Then you have to repeat everything with every person and to top it off the tech guy argued with me over my email address. Why 10 calls? Because I go cut off 9 times. Nothing against India but I think those Indian call centers SUCK!!!!!

This machine had better live up to expectations is all I can say. At least the blu ray came standard on the 17 inch model.
