hey nick,
just wanted to say thanks for the free press. we appreciate your interest in our business model. i'm not too sure on this, but it seems the questions your asking are not really going to be answered unless you try contacting us directly... but after checking my inbox i can't seem to find anything from you requesting a statement of some kind to add to this amazingly credible article.
So to save you some time or just incase you were feeling shy, i'll help shed some light on the issues that are troubling you :) Firstly, we started Triana Global for app development, but with the demand of publishers to monetize their apps, we quickly grew a successful ad network. We are completely transparent on the app development vs ad serving model, and go so far as to include advertising packages with all development quotes.
Regarding our rates, we have always offered high cpc rates, and now simply want to give publishers a choice between cpc and cpm. My apologies if that is not acceptable by your standards.
But i do thank you for your suggestion to focus on our app development. We will definitely strive to heed all advice from an expert such as yourself. If you one day find yourself wanting to make an app for any social network, you know who to call :)
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to write another article.
Thank you,
Triana Global

Our communication issues with Lookery have been resolved. Rex [Lookery CEO] was able to solve the problems, and hopefully we would be able to do business again in the future.
Another great example of how simple communication can break through barriers, and allow money to flow.

@Nabil Naghdy - uhm, thanks for the promotion, but Scott Rafer is the CEO and always has been. :)
Hopefully we can do business once again down the road, and thanks for the call last night to get this all figured out!

Great article Paul.
Another factor to take into consideration regarding the success of social advertising networks, is their customer service and flexibility. When there are so many options, keeping advertisers happy is the key to retaining them as clients.
We have worked with Lookery & Myofferpal in the past few months, and both have been terrible at meeting the clients needs. We moved on from both these companies as soon as we realised the poor customer service that they had.
When there is a lot competition, ad networks needs to be sure not to bite the hand that feeds it - and remember that in this (relatively) small industry, word travels fast.

Hi Nabil,
Just came across this post of yours. Since you and I worked together throughout the duration of your campaign with Lookery, I thought I would respond to make sure you had all of your questions answered.
It seemed that by the end of your campaign, you were quite satisfied with our willingness to consider and agree to your requests, as we ended the campaign on good terms with the hopes of renewing our partnership in the future.
If I am mistaken and have missed something that matters to Lookery's relationship with your company, please do shoot me an email and I'm more than happy to help you out.
We at Lookery certainly want you to have the best experience posssible.
Many Thanks,
Claire Herminjard, Lookery Business Development

Thanks for commenting. I didn't suggest to focus on app development. I suggested focusing on that OR your ad network. SocialMedia ran into the same challenge and found easier to focus on attracting advertisers rather building apps. Just a thought :)
