Instead of complaining about welfare being too good, why not work to make the jobs better. When you have to work 2 or 3 part time minimum wage jobs (because there are no full time jobs for minimum wage employees) without ever getting a full day off to make what you do on welfare something is wrong with the available jobs not the available welfare.

Re: Shocker: Increased Social Welfare Spending Leads To Less Motivation For The Poor To Find Jobs

It is amazing how such hate and lack of charity comes out of the mouths of people who probably are walking around telling themselves what good Christians they are.

The first if there was actually a job shoveling sand for 8 hours a day to be had you would have people lining up to do it, but the fact is they don't exist. Secondly in most states they aren't getting benefits not to work. Welfare recipients are forced to go do crap jobs in order to receive their benefits. They get the equivalent of minimum wage, without any of the benefits of actually being employed. Most of the people would be happy to do these jobs for cash rather than benefits, but these jobs too don't exist for people not in the system.

Come up with jobs that people with a normal size family can live on with health care and you will find people moving out of the system

You will always have people who abuse the system, no matter how tough you make it, but that is no reason to try and screw everyone else who want out but can't get out.

Re: 10 Blog Design Tips That Will Take You to the Next Level

most website design purists get it wrong when they go without images. Their maxim is the least amount of coding possible to achieve the past possible load time. This precludes them from adding title and alt tags to links and images since they are not necessary bits of code from a functional standpoint. What they don't have wrong is make your blog load as fast as possible while not sacrificing visual appeal or SEO. For me this means don't use large unnecessary images. Don't load huge images only to have the display at a fraction of their actual size. Be consistent with your image use to tie text elements together, but don't use images for the sake of using them.

Brad Harts last blog post...Lazy Plugins Fix Your Own Post Slugs

Re: 10 Killer Blog Tips to Increase Traffic and Stickiness

When designing a theme I am a big fan of of post page links all the current free themes I am designing actually have 3 links to the permalink per post, 1 as the title of the post, 1 saying this is the permalink and another at the end of the comments that says go back to the top of the page.

Another great tip most theme builders miss out on is having separate category, tag and author templates with feeds for each term in the archive.
