The issue I was trying to explain is that end users are using template overrides but most of them probably do not even realise that. They just download a template and use it.
joomla tells them to update for security purposes but they dont realise they have to update the template as well

I think it's the same percentage that knows what a template override is and how to modify it.. the problem is that this is something really hard to do for the average user - but should not be hard for a serious website administrator.

So we should explain to the average users that they shouldn't use output overrides.. or this is a responsability of the template builders?

I don't know the percentage of Joomla-Users that know what an SVN is. Do you think it is more than 10% ;-)

You can also use a SVN client and see what's been changed in the new Joomla release.

Anche io un pensierino ce lo sto facendo... anche se c'è sempre l'offerta business di Tre che offre 5 Gb/settimana per 19 euro al mese (ma va aggiunto un piano telefonico se non erro)

That makes sense; Unfortunately no one knows when 1.6 will be ready, so no one knows how long 1.0 will be supported. With a fixed date, webmasters will have clarity.

I'd set the end-of-life date of Joomla 1.0 to the day that Joomla 1.6 will be released.

Obviusly, Joomla can't support 3 so-much-different version. So when a new major version comes out, the oldest one should be dropped.

riguardo l'iPhone vorrei approfondire ma provo una certa insofferenza di fronte a scelte di marketing così vincolanti per i consumatori. Mi fanno passare la voglia anche solo di interessarmi

Una cosa che non capisco è come si possa affermare di guadagnare 100€ al mese usando Adsense, quando secondo la normativa italiana per poter inserire pubblicità sul sito e guadagnare occorre avere partita iva come impresa ed iscriversi alla camera del commercio..

In pratica, guadagnare 1200€ all'anno e pagarne 3000 in tasse, INPS e varie.. in questo modo paghi 150 euro al mese per pubblicizzare prodotti altrui.

Essendo i guadagni tutti tracciati, non capisco nemmeno come si possa evadere..

Oppure non ho capito io come funziona?
