There are actually some very attractive color schemes you have there but im not sure all of them would transfer well to other applications.. You obviously have a good eye for choosing the best color combinations from an image or do you use some kind of software?

I remember watching the wizard of oz for the first time when i was a wee boy and it was definately the amazing, vibrant colors that kept my attention... Its definately color that first and foremost sets the mood of any film.. the wizard of oz would not of worked using the colors they used in the terminator films the same way the terminator films would not of worked in the colors they used for the wizard of oz.. excellent post!

Yeah this was an excellent addition to firefox... Ive already noticed a huge increase in color awareness and hopefully that will continue to grow... The company I work for recently done a small study of peoples monitor settings and out of the 100 people they polled, 34 were browsing the internet with 265 colors and no clue there was any way to improve it... I know this is slightly off topic to your post but i thought you might find it interesting.. 34 out of 100.. wow

Personally I also like the black and white because it looks more erm "classic" for want of a better word.. I guess it really depends on the destination of the picture, If its for a portfolio i would definately go with the b&w but if its for a glossy mag then maybe the color would be more suitable... Its a great shot all the same.. kudos

Thats a nice little application... there are loads of "color pickers" out there but the ability to import the color schemes into other aplications really sets it apart from most of them.

Wow... You know thats really interesting... My father has always complained about color blindness but ive never really realised the difference it can make. Of course he has tried explaining it to me like a gzillion times but now i can see what he sees... this is great... thanks for the link.. im definately going to show him this.

"On a Mac, you can do that by going to “System Preferences”, then click “Displays”, “Color”, and “Calibrate.”

On Windows, right click in an empty spot on your desktop, then click properties from the menu. from the resulting window click on the settings tab and then click the advanced button. This will pop up another window with more tabs, click the color management tab to edit your color profiles...

There is probably a quicker way but this is the way i do it.. hope it helps :)

aaaaaaaahh the good old NES.. I remember playing mario on that thing with my cousin, staying up all night trying to complete it... I sometimes think that game designers spend too much time in getting colors right instead of the actual gameplay but hey-ho.. I guess in some games there is the need to try and create an atmosphere for the player and i guess color is a huge part of that...

You could actually make a half decent usability plugin out of this, Use different colors for each month and then use different shades of that color for each date in the month... Im not sure how popular or effective it would be but hey.. its just an experiment right :)

Wasnt this the reason for the removal of blue smarties and blue skittles not so long ago.... I know my nephew used to have a taste for anything blue at one time and his parents quickly realised it was becoming like an addictive drug to him send him hyper active, It wasnt until after a visit to the doctor that they found out it was the blue food colorings in the foods he was eating. As soon as they stopped him eating them he was no longer so hyper

Is it a girl thing this colored laptops... I would only buy a laptop in only black silver or white at a push... I dont get this novelty thing of having "out there" colors.. I mean it doesnt make the laptop any better... like i said it must be a girl thing!

The color management sheet is a great addition i have to say... being able to see what colors are contained within the image is great for image correction and modification

Lmao... Im going to get my wife to read this.... It takes her nearly an hour and a half to get ready in the mornings...
