Disagree! I think they would be just "another" hardware manufacturer that makes shitty margins. Like HTC. This is what Elop wanted to avoid with Nokia's move to WP7. Now whether or not that was a good move is the topic of another blog post...

Pretty sure that is a hangup with the TV/Movie folk in the UK.

I can access any TV show I've ever bought on iCloud. Not sure about movies as I've never actually bought one.

Nah, Ewan, you are getting soft in your old age. The hierarchy of things I hate as far as mobile accessories go is:
1. Stylus
2. Holster
3. Bluetooth headset (dipshit earing)
4. Dongles

I'm sorry, but any dongle, be it for SD, USB or for 3.5 mm headphones has got to go.

you've got me pegged as a fanboy, but I still don't get your point. Storage space? What am I putting on here? Books, movies, tv shows, music. 16 GB and up is plenty to keep me reading, watching and listening for weeks without having to refresh the content.

And no SD and USB? What would I use a USB for anyway? So I could plug in a mouse? So I can plug in an inkjet printer? That kind of stuff I do on my laptop. I guess an SD card would be nice to import photos, but iTunes syncing will take care of that.

I agree with MG Siegler at TechCrunch on this issue:
"Does it have Flash? No. But while that used to be an issue for me when the iPhone first launched, I never think about it anymore. All of YouTube is available through the YouTube app, and I’d bet that sooner or later we’ll see a Hulu app as well. So what am I really missing with Flash? Browser crashes, eaten CPU cycles, and some Facebook games? Good riddance."

I agree, MG. At this time a Nano doesn't make sense--it would be like an entry level, lesser version of the iPhone, but how much smaller can the iPhone get without costing A LOT more, making the entry level thing not make sense.

I mean the iPhone is flash based already, within reason, how much smaller could they really make it?

I also agree that the iPhone is doing so well as it is, and no competition is even close to replicating the iPhone experience. I say Apple will wait until the competition catches up (somewhat) and then release the Nano, and give them a new target.

I just reply back, "why don't you upload the picture, print it, put it in an envelope, buy a stamp, and mail it, seems easier".
