It's so amazing to see you're still drawing! Looks amazing! I'll have to get caught up. Looks like you've built something very beautiful, here.

Re: Steven Seagal meets ‘The Punisher’ Duterte, talks drug war

My husband served a two year mission around Davao city when Duterte was mayor in the 90's and he says he was the most corrupt politician imaginable, and he was well known to have his political opponents murdered. He knew someone personally who Duterte sent assassins to kill for some flippant reason (criticism or something). I think it might be a good idea to pay more attention to what Duterte is actually doing and why, instead of letting him hide behind a "I'm tough on drugs" stance.

Re: Study: Taxpayers Funding Costly Federal Grants for the Arts

I'm a conservative but also a musician and artist and need to say many of these groups bring great value to our culture. Though there is room for improvement, the arts have always struggled for funding. Without knowing any more detail than what is in this brief article it's difficult to judge what the nuts and bolts of these grants are. I have a feeling the situation is a lot more nuanced than that.

I feel like President Trump has done a great job so far and I got the sense that he slashed many budgets to zero at first to scare groups and to get them to negotiate more realistically. Kind of a brilliant tactic.

Re: 2004-11-08

They totally are.

Re: No Man’s Sky is as much a hobby as it is a game

The game aside (haven't played it yet, waiting for price drop), this is a beautifully written article.

Re: The Sims opens up gender options, Bible-thumping Sims sure to follow

And generally well, but in this case it's bad form.

Re: The Sims opens up gender options, Bible-thumping Sims sure to follow

Neither way is right. Total trash, a sick joke on the people who love it in the first place, because I've never met anyone who likes it and has any understanding of what's really happening with Grease. And then they continued to ignore us, because we mean nothing. We are the empty, invisible generation between two generations that matter.

We overcompensated by assuring every Millenial child that they are super special, valuable, important, necessary, crucial. I personally like the term "Millenial"... I think it's the bad rap so many people have given the gen that makes it seem unsavory. There's a ridiculous amount of hope, talent, ability, and brilliance in the rising generation. There's some stupidness too, but that's normal and okay. They're not the ones voting for Trump in droves, and that says a lot.

Re: Comedian Alex Edelman thinks “millennial” is a garbage word

That time never existed.

Re: Everybody owes and everybody pays on Fear The Walking Dead

I'm surprised anyone even notices anymore.

Re: Film Freak Central - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

This is a fine review written to incite strong emotions, and that it does. Is it the film we deserve? Are we all worms because this is what we want? Is this crappy movie actually what we want? The statements made in this review may or may not be true, but that isn't the point of the review. The point is to make us stop and think about it, maybe argue for or against, but at the very least to consider if this BVS nonsense is what we really want and what it means that it was made in the first place. Maybe Walter Chaw should be writing somewhere with more exposure.

Re: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend gives us three Rebeccas for the price of one

The Les Mis parody from Galavant is exactly why I couldn't enjoy this one as much!

Though I adore CEG, the one from Galavant was, I guess, better.

Re: 2005-12-08

It should be fixed, now.
