Yes – this is the right answer! I heard back from the (very helpful) RØDE support, and we identified that this was the issue. Exporting mono files as stereo fixes the problem in the short term, @Mancunian Juice, and again, RØDE said that this will be fixed in a future firmware upgrade.

I don’t know if it was poor reading comprehension on my part, or if strategy and roadmap has changed, but I thought that the multitrack option coming to the RØDECaster Pro was for recording to microSD, rather than over USB, so I was surprised to see it ‘switch’. I too would really like this option; I had thought it was going to spit individual WAVs for each track, as well as the stereo mixdown, out to microSD.

Well hi there. I’ve been dipping into the comments every now and then since this piece went live, and the reason I haven’t responded is that experience suggests there’s little genuine constructive dialogue to be had here. I’ve said my piece, you’ve said yours, and I strongly suspect neither of us will be convinced by the arguments of the other.

As to the Milo thing, for what it’s worth I wasn’t mocking anyone else or even mocking the tastes of someone. It just tickled me that someone who disagreed with my stance would, of course, view him as a hero, whereas I find him quite unpleasant. And hey, that’s fine; you can find me quite unpleasant in return.

I will allow, mind you, that Milo’s hair is infinitely more fabulous that mine will ever be.

Yeah, it’s worth digging into Labs frequently if you’re a heavy Gmail user, as there are often interesting and useful things in there. (Just be careful not to become obsessed with trying new techniques and tools; mastering broader lifestyle techniques often pay better dividends!)

Make sure you restart. (Or just log out and in again. Or you can issue a kill command in Terminal, but restarting is the easiest method for non-technical folks.)

Apple hasn’t asked press not to talk about that as far as I know. As I alluded to in the review, I don’t feel qualified to pass judgement on it. I’ve read learned people say it’s highly accurate but also other trustworthy people say it’s not, so much more research is needed. Sorry I wasn’t able to answer this for you.

I too have the haptic feedback turned up to the max (though not with prominent haptic turned on); as I mentioned – and perhaps because I walk quickly – it's only when walking (or driving, with other vibration happening) that I might be unsure if the Watch is tapping me or not.

Hello, and thanks for commenting! My point wasn’t to compare even a £229 Apple Watch with a can of Coke, but instead to point out that, just as Warhol said that every can of Coke was the same [on the inside], so too is every Apple Watch [on the inside]. Does that make sense?
