I'm amazed by the incredible amount of public interest in Sarah Palin. Good or bad, she's become somewhat of a pop icon. People are dressing like her to be and/or mock her all at the same time.

With all of the controversy surround each candidate I wonder who is getting the most attention. From a purely superficial standpoint, Obama and Palin represent a change in American consciousness when it comes to politics. Aside from the issues, a vote for one or the other signifies a push toward something new, whether that push be good or bad, depending on your view of the candidate.

I wonder if Halloween will show the voting trend. I guess that would be hard to tell seeing as how those who choose to dress as a politician would be doing so as a joke and not nessarely to portray the candidate of their choice or non-choice. What ever the case, I'm willing to bet that we'll be seeing more Sarah Palin look-a-likes than Obama. I stumbled onto this link right here that proves the point on one Sarah Palin being some what of an American pop icon.
