That is the very camera I have been going so nuts about. We had one with us in Mexico and it takes ad quality photos right off the hop. Plus, this is one of the few cameras where the zoom goes well beyond your expectations.

so, I got an email from you asking about this topic and was kinda confused, but thought I would share my two cents worth! In our lifegroup we are currently studying the book "Love and Respect". I don't agree with half of it, but the point is mainly that women react harshly (in the book, it talks about how a woman harshly reacts to men, but I think towards women also) when they feel unloved. So, possibly, women react to other women harshly for the fear that they will be loved less, because the other women could possibly get more love. Does that make any sense? So, that's my tid bit, but you might want to skim, and I do mean skim, that book to see.

Yes! That is what my problem with the book is!! It totally pulls a gender theory out of nothing! And the truth of the matter is that every emotion we have, we have to take it back, to "how did that make me feel?" before we react. It is always a choice of how to react.

I was wondering what you think the Red Sox outfield is looking like, both right now and down the road? It seems as though the Sox have a very strong yet very delicate group of guys out there, and they're pretty weak defensively. With Manny's "Manny-isms," Coco's Johnny Damon-esque arm, and Willy Mo's dizzy spells, defense isn't a strong spot. How are Murphy and Ellesbury defensively, and how close are they to actually contributing? Also, how are the Sox going to juggle Willy Mo into that outfield? I thought the plan was for him to take over for Manny when the time comes.

It was a thrill of a lifetime when you came to dinner with Liz all the way to Long Island when I won the auction last year but if you don't eat red meat and me about to have heart surgery who picked OUTBACK! I would have traveled to NYC and sat down at a outdoor cafe and had a salad and a double scotch. Still it was a thrill of a lifetime better than the NY Rangers winning the Stanley Cup. See you on Halloween. I'll be in a shark outfit with a heart moniter attached.

I feel that in order for these statistics to be indicative of anything, there would need to be a much larger gap in the numbers. For the reasons stated by previous posters, the statistics may be entirely justifiable. Having heard all the rhetoric about this issue for the past several years, I honestly felt there would be a much larger disparity. I think at least for our state, we might be making a mountain out of a molehill.

I spent 3 weeks trying to get a hold of the Hare campaign offering to do their website. I figured since I am a resident of the district, and would do it for free, that might be inticing. But instead he pays some D.C. firm a pretty penny to build crap.

Real Illinoisan, I think you underestimate the web community. While it can be a minor factor, if utilized well, it can be a major campaign help. There are lots of young people that are constantly on the internet. If you can get the rallied and mobilized, then you just shifted the demographics of the district voters.

I saw last night that facebook and myspace are going to allow politicians to have sites and then users can add them as friends. that can result in lots of exposure. I heard on the radio this morning that myspace recently passed both yahoo and google in the number of pageloads.

For an example of how the web and bloggers influence races, just look at how that Kos guy has spurred the Lieberman challenge in Connecticut.

People that think the web can't help a campaign have failed to utilize it properly.

BB - I know you like demanding information from democrats in order to look bad, but as a citizen of the 17th, I don't feel that Hare missing this is all that big of a deal. I would like to also point out that at no time did Zinga (or any other repub. for that matter) speak out against this particular resolution.

I took the time to look at the link you provided. I noticed that the only 'news' on the bill was that it went into subcommittee. The date on that move? December of 05. Was Phil Hare in congress in Dec? Was Phil Hare even a candidate in December? Now I know this might not fully explain why he hasn't heard of it, but I certianly wouldnt expect him as a district director to be familiar with every bill that simply goes directly into committee.

There has been little to no action on this bill with the exception of co-sponsors periodically signing on. While I realize that a few are from Illinois, I don't think that brings it to national attention. I personally had not heard of this amendment, and I doubt most people have. BB, if you personally are familiar with it, I congratulate you. You are in an exclusive club.

As I mentioned before, I feel this is a non-issue as far as selecting the next congressman for the 17th. And remember, Hare's lack of response is the same as Zinga's lack of a denoucnement, so if anything shouldn't the issue be a push???

National Gaurd - I see Hare signs all over in Galesburg. I have only seen 1 or 2 Zinga signs. In addition Phil has made several stops down here already and will be down a couple more times in the next week or so.

THis is why I love being a Cubs fan... Only a week after watching the Cards win the series in a season in which we were in last place, they have managed to shift focus, and hope, back to the franchise.

The comment was really dumb, you can't bash the Cubs in the northern half of the state without making people mad. What non Cubs fans dont realize is that true Cubs fans will take their loyalty over politics, religion, etc...

Unfortunately, I agree with PL to a degree. I think Hester is merely ordinary when compared to NFL players. He brought up a great point. Many of those returns were against 3rd rate college talent. Discussing the dominance that big name colleges have in football and basketball is a whole different huge issue, but suffice to say, its a bit easier to juke a return team player on the Duke Blue Devils than the Colts, or any other NFL team.

NN - you are also allficted with a terrible disease most Bears fans have. 1985-itis. Bears fans need to let it go.

Another aspect that was slightly mentioned earlier is just how easy it is to avoid a returner. The Colts can kick every punt out of bounds if they like. They can minimize the kick returns by kicking away from him. They can ensure he doesn't get a freak field goal return by not kicking stupidly long field goals.

You do have a great point about the Colts return defense. I beleive they are ranked 30th in KR allowed and 31 in PR allowed.

you guys want to talk stats? how about the fact that the d-backs only won 5 more games than the cubs?!?!?!!? you can talk all you want about a weak national league central or any other worn out kindergarten talking points. but fact of the matter is, 5 games out of 162 is NOTHING. Thats a game a month. The d-backs weren't exactly the Yankees of old winning 100, 110, or even more games.

if you idiots would look up any actual information, you would find that the d-backs rank LAST in the league in batting average and on base percentage. they rank a whopping 14th out of 16 in runs scored. they were a normal 5-5 in their last 10 games so they aren't coming in on a hot streak. additionally, they have a sub .500 record in road games this season. also, the pitching ranked behind the cubs as far as major stats. (era, whip, baa, ops against, etc...)

even more telling of the teams... the Cubs finished the season with a run differential of +62! the d-backs you ask??? a run differential of -20!!! pretty impressive if you ask me! that gives the d-backs an expected win loss record of 79-83!!! thats pathetic. I am glad that we get the d-craps! colorado and san diego actually have the 2 best differentials in the national league.

GUYS GET SOME NEW INFORMATION! the lack of original thought in this thread is kinda pathetic. For people so in tune with political dealings, there is not much sports knowledge.

Sorry the Cubs fans hated on you in 05 Miller. I am a pretty supportive Cubs fan and was glad to see both StL and ChW win. But to act like a 7 year old getting his revenge is kinda silly. Shouldn't you be above that?
