in How To Explode A SolidWorks Part on SolidSmack
Do you know if the move/copy body feature can be controlled externally in future
SW versions?
My only dislike of this feature is (unless you have mates to dimensioned sketch points) you cant change them specific to configurations or externally edit them?
It would make the feature perfect if you could control it from a design table etc.

in SolidWorks Dimensioning Tips on SolidSmack
I find using the filter when dimensioning useful (e.g. select Edge, and Vertices and Dimension only)
This way you select circle edges as opposed to center marks - which often dangle.
You can also be confident (without having to keep zooming in to the pick point) that you are selecting just what you want and not hidden sketches etc or center lines which you may be oblivious you are picking unless - again - zooming right in.

in Hacking the SolidWorks Options Registry File on SolidSmack
Any solutions to Autosave improvements?
Backup Auto-Recovery features in SW 2007 on have removed necessary options which
I find frustrating.
In SW 2006 I could specify a backup after a certain '#' of changes to my model.
In SW 2007 It simply does a copy of the file at the time of your last save anyway??? On the whole completely useless, other than for a second copy of work already done. I do this manually at the end of each day anyway.
Now Autosave (the only option for lost work) gives you a small window of opportunity to recover files during a session - bad luck if you get a second crash or if the autosave file doesn't re-save.
Is there any data placed on your local that can be recovered when a model crashes autosave doesn't help??????
Cheers
