Good one, Jesse; I like it too and agree that there were a lot of scary lies and fabrications floating around during the election. I am pretty passionate about this whole thing, and am on the 'No' side for reasons that go much deeper than religion (as a Libertarian, I oppose laws that open the doors to discrimination against myself, and believe Prop 8 sets a dangerous precedent). The video is a bit sassy, and is clearly making points that will not resonate with the far right crowd. It also doesn't address ALL the issues that the far right is concerned about, but fun nevertheless.

Tim,

After taking a large does of Fukitol™, I would take my wife and four children (from teenage to 4) to Northern Italy, where we would rent a humble villa and learn the language and culture together for a couple of months.

After reading your book, this has become my dream.

It would better our (family) lives because we would bond even closer relationships as we struggled together to learn something that is otherwise out of reach. Our lives would be enriched as we learn to slow down and smell the roses, from the culture who invented 'smelling roses'. We would have no one to turn to other than ourselves and any newfound friends, much like the sailing family you mention in your book.

Benefit to the world? Six lives will be changed forever. Our six lives will impact an inner circle of about 150 people, who in turn will share an incredible story of 'letting go' with their friends, potentially influencing thousands of people. Our change in perspective will result in the betterment of everyone we touch, as missionaries to the world that there is more to living than 9-5.

Perhaps you have already done enough, but winning the contest would be exciting, nevertheless.

Tim, thank you for this well-timed insight. Learning these phases in the last five minutes has given me a whole new perspective on the roller coaster I have been on for the last 8 years, and is helping me focus on my own current Crisis of Meaning. Keep it coming!
