The buzz at the launch party last night was high and the demand for this type of app is going to be intense. Moximity brings to the mobile the next level of connectivity and experience that lack in Twitter and Facebook. Moximity brings it all together in a simple, clean app that makes connecting and communication a fun experience.

Congrats to Moximity!

Andy

Re: URL Shortening and Click Through Stats Services

James,

We are looking forward to the results of your test! While there are a lot of click tracking services out there, at BudURL, we're focused on click tracking for serious business folks who need as much insight into click traffic as possible. Our approach is less on the social visibility side and more on helping you see what was previously invisible with traditional analytics.

Again, we're anxiously awaiting the results of your test and look forward to your feedback.

Sincerely,

Andy
budurl.com

Re: URL Shortening and Click Through Stats Services

Hi, James! You mentioned the concern about revealing too much info in a BudURL. You can add a question mark (?) to the end of any BudURL to be taken to a preview page rather than a straight redirect. We're working on adding in future privacy measures as well. Adding a "/s" to the end of a budurl will show you the click-count, but detailed stats are only available for registered users.

More analytics insight and reporting will be coming over the next two weeks + a lot more visual enhancements.

We have received great feedback so far from our subscribers and are adding in their features as fast as we can.

Track us online in Twitter at http://budurl.com/hlm6

Thanks!

Andy

Re: 2008/09/23/minggl/

Kudos on the coverage, Minggl! The gang from BudURL.com here. Just to clarify, we use 307 redirects for *every* budurl link so the SEO love will follow your URL. When your site is spidered, the real value goes to the destination URL, not the BudURL. This is entirely intentional as we don't want to capture your hard-earned efforts. We just want to make tracking even better!

Please email us with any questions and keep the feedback coming! (support@budurl.com)

Many Thanks!

Andy

Re: BudURL Kills TinyURL w/ Analytics

Thanks for the write-up! BudURL is just getting started so please come and sign up and tell us how we can make it better. To answer Robert Scanlon, if Olgivy had BudURL.com, he would have known which 50%. :-)

Andy
budurl.com

Re: Does Social Network Recruiting Yield Results?

I received several messages via social networks about BazaarVoice opportunities through the campaign. It was well executed and I'm glad it worked so well. As I saw this happening, I saw plain links being sent directing the traffic. I was curious what additional insight into the social networking experiment would have been available if they had used BudURL.com to send out the links. Then they could have seen where the traffic spread, which social network generated the most referrals, and where the messages may have spread beyond the initial posts.

Just a thought!

Bravo to Bazaarvoice on once again proving that they are kings of word of mouth!

Andy

Re: 11 Best URL Shortening Services – Vote Your Favorite

Thanks for including BudURL in your survey! One clarification is that we use a 307 redirect instead of a 301 redirect on purpose. Our research shows that this is a more powerful redirect method for tracking purposes and provides even better SEO pass-thru. This is the redirect methodology used by Google, Blogger, and Feedburner.

Thanks again for including us and we look forward to the feedback!

Andy
