Robert - can you change the "retweet" button scobleizer to the twitter button? I don't want to give Tweetmeme access to my twitter account and therefore I can't use your button to share this post. I'd bet there are a lot of others who may not share for this reason as well. I will manually share it instead. Thanks

People still want the most visibility for their content and so they will post in both places forever. Or they will post on the brand page and then share onto their older personal page.

You made it about popularity. I didn't see anything about listening or learning in your tweet.

And it's ok - I said from the instant I saw G+ that I wondered how long before we see a default list (that's what I call the SUL). I mean how else would Twitter have grown without their SUL.

I am happy all of my research over the years on SULs at both Twitter and FriendFeed. You know how to find me.

This is such an interesting post to me - just yesterday I wrote about how Media Temple handled their outage and communications and how they did an excellent job at it. Here's my post:

Media Temple had their staff responding on Twitter and they posted a video in the middle of the outage to clearly explain what was going on.

I think Amazon's health dashboard is great- not sure if I agree totally that the updates read like lawyer's notes but they spoke very technical - something I think we probably all wanted.

Let's see what happens now with their explanations about what happened today.

Why wouldn't they? When you close a big sales deal, you want to brag - same as closing on a house deal, a big sales deal, etc.

lol you didn't screw anything up - I think Quora seems to be trying something new - I don't really follow the service that much - but it seems like they are trying a "moderated community Q&A site" which is different than many of the others.

They have done a good job of getting big names in there to answer the questions.

Gautum - you just killed the post I have half done last week :)

Quora IS the new digg - replace the "headline" on Digg with the "Question" on Quora. Replace the "comments" on Digg with the "answers" on Quora.

And it's interesting because I asked a top Quora user about the idea that content can be changed - it was a shock to me (I don't use the service currently). I kept saying to myself - why would anyone want to write a nice, in-depth answer only to have it edited by someone he or she doesn't even know.

Also - when you write on Quora, it seems you are basically saying "sure x blog, scrape my whole post, put it on your blog, make money on it and share nothing with me" - at least with a blog, that doesn't happen as often.

I also wonder when you have a blog as widely read and as powerful as Scobleizer, when you post on Quora, do you miss sharing your thoughts with so many others who won't see it on Q? I know you share a lot of your answers on Twitter so maybe people find them that way.

I wonder tho...how many consumers have/want the latest version of a software title? For example, I am using Photoshop cs2 - do I need cs5, sure it would be nice but it's not critical for what I do inside of PS. Same for Word, Excel, etc.

To some extent it looks like you are suggesting a similar model to television - buy the graphics package for $29/month and you can use ps, x, y, z... it's the lease version of software I guess.

Why not tie into the subway - we already have miles and miles of tunnels that could support more cables...the subway reaches every area you've mentioned including the SIRT. just an idea...

the one missing thing on the gawker site with their "notice bar" regarding the hacks...how to delete your gawker account. many who commented on my post and many i have spoken with would love to do just that but gawker doesn't seem to provide that option.
