I setup my facebook account to pull in my blog posts as "notes" each time I posted. Then I found my friends commenting on my notes rather than on my blog.

What I wanted was to create community on my blog, not on facebook.

I read the snippet of this post in your archives I think and the first thing I thought of before I "continued reading" was that I could not only thank them for the comment, but invite them to subscribe to the newsletter AND make them aware of the community / forum on my blog.

I just tried to get to aglco to check my referrals and found the site to be very very very slow. I realized "something is going on" and sure enough, their blog says the toolbar is available. I'm sure everyone and their kids are downloading it, so the slowness is to be expected. Being that it's just been released, I'm also sure there are some bugs to work out with all the traffic. It's the one thing they couldn't test... the pummeling of millions of people making requests, not only of the download but also the ad servers

I'm pretty kick ass at Total Annihilation, a real time strategy game. In fact, I'm responsible for my roommate loosing his job and going back to driving cab because of TA. I moved in with him and he was NOT a computer user, never mind a game player. He always wanted to challenge me to chess. I told him that I'm not interested in Chess, but if he learned TA, I'd play him. Well he learned and he committed his life to it. He'd go days without eating and when he'd begin to pass out and say he wasn't feeling well, I"d ask him when the last time was that he ate. He couldn't remember. He was a real estate agent. He would receive his commission cheques 2 or 3 months after the sales, so when he began to play, he was supported for about 3 months. But he wasn't making any more sales. He just stopped and stayed in front of the computer trying to get better so he could beat me. Eventually he ran out of commission cheques and had to go back to driving cab. Geesh. The good part is that he became a world class TA player. He'd beat anyone in the world playing online. His IQ was measured at near 200 and he would develop some pretty incredible strategies.

Now I'm into Need For Speed Most Wanted.

Yep, I signed up. In fact, I'm promoting the occasional "100 Comments" campaign whereby I ask a question to build a TOP list about a subject. Right now I'm running "What Not To Do In The Gym" as a way to build a Gym Etiquette listing. Then get it published and have as many people start to advertise and follow the gym rules.

I haven't yet posted the U Comment, I Follow yet, but I may. It's not really fitting with the theme of my site. Maybe I'll design my own buttons?

Everton, do you realize that your plugin for the myavatars in the comments thing is still displaying Italian when you mouseover the MyBlogLog images? It's the alt text or title editable in the plugin editor (I believe it is). I could never get the avatars to show up, but I saw a lot of Italian in there.

um, that's the www.formerfatguy.com one, not the www.formerfatguyblog.com one

formerfatguy.com is nearly 10 years old, while ffgblog.com is less than a year old

what is also curious is that in the past month, I've had 3 people ask to buy my domain. I asked $250,000. No bite

you can also spend the time waiting by visiting your local Gym and training hard. You could join a martial arts club - Taekwondo or kick boxing.. and get in shape, burn a few pounds while you're waiting.

you could take your favorite girl out, or spend time in, creating a healthy and romantic meal.

You could go for a run

and... you could continue to do these things INSTEAD of going to the simpsons movie

Agree with most of them. Can't wait to get to see Bourne Ultimatum... good lord.. .what a great series.

Seen Harry Potter Phoenix. Not bad. Had to see it as I've seen them all and read all the books. Nothing really stood out for me other than just being able to watch the actors grow up and become better at what they do.

Rush Hour 3 - Absolutely! Haven't seen it yet, but yep, it's on my list

Simpsons - Could not care less. No interest whatsoever

Halloween - same. No interest at all.

someone about to take on the challenge of releasing 300 pounds HAS to know that someone believes in them to accomplish the task.

Just as I had a friend who coached me and lead me by the hand, and "believed in me"

I'm not a runner, but I'm a climber. When I'm running stairs it's a constant practice for me to overcome the little voice saying to stop and its in overcoming this little voice that I create new personal bests.

I could also go as far as to say that "talking myself INTO going to the gym" is just as important a little voice to overcome. As long as I GET to the gym, I'm good. It's getting moving in that direction that can be tricky some times.

Very interesting indeed. The grapefruit is wonderful and I enjoy them as part of my days, but I had never heard of the grapefruit diet like this before.

When it comes to food combining, fruit should be eaten alone and then given 20 minutes to digest before anything else. Your plan here seems to take that into effect and I like it
