That's a good point. We saw with TARP 1.0 that when people actively wrote and phoned their senators, they listened to the complaints. But only days later, they loaded the bill with more pork and passed it.


I can't see the younger generation "taking it to the streets" anytime soon. From what I can see, they are enormously pro-Obama and it will be take a while to change their perception.

I've been a really silent reader of your blog but this particular post brought me out from my shell. T'was beautiful and actually brought tears to my eyes. You are lucky to have a friend who thinks highly of you..and an ex boyfriend at that! You must be one amazing girl!

I suppose a tithe... If Mac required his standard 10-15% of your weekly income tithe today, you must have really felt ripped off..... Nothing like giving all your disposable income to the fallacy of some guy who "talks to God" but to have to then listen to somebody who actually is just stealing your money for his own personal gain.  Somehow, I have to belive God would say something, "If one were meant to fly, I would have given him (her, let's just say God was a step behind the times) wings".......I guess that meant Mac needed TWO planes, not just one right.  He didn't get the wings, so he bought two pair instead of just the stock standard one....

I love Mac's chruch.  He does Breezy Point ceremonies...You know the type, the one where you go to a wedding and he spends 45 minutes trying to sell you his ministry and for that, you get a five minute wedding ceremony.  Make no mistake....it is ALL ABOUT MAC.  After all, he talks to God.....along with athletes who win the championship and conservative Republicans who win elections.  God speaks to no one else.......

BTW:  Mac's "endorsement" and Bachman's winning of the election was a blessing in disguise, more proof that "God" isn't Republican.....What more can you ask for than a moron who can't keep her hands off him (see the State of the Union) and is incapable of actually "working" with the President (she's so in awe of Bush she probaby needs to change her panties every time she sees of a picture of him.....Guess "God" couldn't cure her of lusting after another man besides her husband....).  All in all, Bachman will be the billboard Republican in 2008 as to why the country should vote Democrat.  It isn't a question as to who "God" wants to win......it is a question as to who is at least remotely capable of actually doing the work of the people.......Clearly, Mac has NO IDEA as to what that is.....I'm sure he can fly somewhere though in one of his TWO planes to figure it out......

Don't make me laugh!  Gould should be informed that the cost of doing business is to pay your "American Citizens" employees a fair wage and chip in on health, dental etc., as it has been with companies in the past.  Damn greed will catch even the most honest people if they don't keep their radar up.  They don't care if the cost of building goes up it is in reality just greed and the bottom line with them and a growing number of companies. What they do is tell these people (Illegals) that they can't hire them without papers stating they are here legally.  So get the papers and we will hire you.  Okay, they go out and get some papers and come back and guess what?  They are hired.... Did they check to see if the papers were in fact real or counterfeit?  Noooo to much trouble and if they found out they were counterfeit they would lose a potential hire.  Their loyalty to their country and their own country-men/women isn't even there.  I hope this HB 06-1343 hurts them good!  I hope that every-time someone suspects that they are hiring illegals that they report them.  Sorry fellows, I don't feel sorry one bit for anyone that would work so hard to destroy the quality of life in America for a few extra bucks, no matter how much is involved.  Without God and your Country what do you have?

Here's why they want a followup, genius So what's your point genius?  The fact was that one of the men got into his car with a Mexican drivers licenses and stated he had no Colorado Drivers license.  Hmmm, I wonder where this person was from, and I assume that if he didn't have a valid Colorado drivers license, and insurance, as any U.S. born  American Citizen living in Colorado would,  or should have, even without asking the question are you a U.S. Citizen, or are you here illegally, my answer is that News 7 would have been questioned for asking the question.  Is it possible for them to win one way or the other?  Perhaps they should run a special investigation on how many accidents are caused in Colorado by unlicensed, uninsured, illegal aliens.  Then we will have hard numbers and there will be no question as to who's who in an accident. 

An Unlikely Health Care Alliance Now let me see if I'm reading this correctly Wal-Mart, AT&T;,

Service Employees International Union, (mostly illegals?) and a slew of companies as well as non-profits want to get together and address the lack of insured in the United States and call themselves Better Health Care Together!  Now lets check this out.... If in fact they want to form a collation then why don't they get together as a group and pay for their employees Health Care and stay the hell out of the American Citizens Health Care Business!  Have any of the people that have private insurance checked out what Universal Health Care would do for them and their families?  Probably not!  Let me give you a web page to go and read.  Check this out people because it might mean your lives!

How would you like someone telling you that you can't drink, smoke, eat too much, or be 55 years or older if you want to see a doctor? Perhaps even mandate your entire lifestyle. How would you like to wait for 6 months or longer to have a surgery performed?  How would you like to have a shortage of Doctors and Nurses?  How would you like it if all the sudden researchers stopped researching because there was no money in it for them?  How would you like to wait in line to see a doctor because there were 500 to 1000 people ahead of you?  How would you like to die from heart disease because they made you wait to have any kind of treatment?

Check out the information on Universal Health Care before you go jumping into it!  When we have a free market with competition then you have doctors earning what they are worth and researchers researching because in the end they will get the money they deserve for all the work and time they have put into the research!  When you take that away and the doctors wages drop to a level that they can't take any pride in, (or live on) and researchers aren't getting anything for the time invested,  then you have doctors leaving the profession, and researchers giving up because they aren't going to get the financial rewards that they deserve for the time and effort.  What does that leave the people that have the so called Universal Health Care?  It leaves them with fewer doctors and nurses as well and fewer drugs being researched to cure diseases!  Hospitals that are substandard because they will not provide them with the necessary equipment to preform at the highest level of health-care.  When the government starts to take over the Health-care of the citizens of a country then it becomes nothing more than Socialized medicine.  By the way, who pays for the Universal Medicine?  The tax payers do!  They will take it right out of your pay check.  (Do you suppose that is why Wal-Mart and AT&T; as well as others want Universal Medicine)  A note for the illegal Mexicans that are in the United States!  You can go home now!  Mexico is now working on a Universal Healthcare program for you!  Maybe you could even get a job at home and have free healthcare there?  My thinking is healthcare in the United States would reduce if  20 - 30 million illegal Mexicans, and Other Than Mexicans would head for home!  After they left then there wouldn't be so many people without insurance?  At least our tax dollars would be paying for the United States Citizens and not illegals!  That I don't mind doing, but I hate like hell to pay for illegal aliens healthcare.
