in Fire devastates Nashua apartment building on Nashua Telegraph
Had the same issue, my child at Elm Street complained of the smoke in the band room, yet I got a call that said the students were not at risk? The prinicpal needs to be held accountable for putting children's health at risk.

1957nashua Connie, Thank you for undserstand what I am talking about. The kids health at that school was at risk. I am sorry that everyone in that fire lost everything I have been there. I still do not have everything I had before I became homeless. I fight everyday for what I have got but some of these Idoits and uninformed people don't see that. Neither does the school administration or other elected officials. That school was not safe yesterday. If you read the story carefully it says that there was asbestos siding it was also in the roofing material what was why the smoke from the buring building as it came through the roof was so black. That make it an unsafe and unhealthy enviroment for our kids that the Elm St School officials are in charge of. Our kids health and safety and that includes the air that they are to breathe. Now I know some idiots is going to make some snide remark about this as well. The next time there is a fire that asbestos burning you go near it. See how good you can breahte.

in Nashua Telegraph Blogs on The Mother of all Blogs

First child went to kindergarten - I cried like a toddler - second child ... another story. It gets easier and remember even when they are gone all day they still look forward to that hug ( mine are in high school and still greet me with one when they get off the bus!)

in Panel weighs in on leveling in schools on Nashua Telegraph
Please do not change the system of using levels in the middle and high schools. There are programs in place for students who struggle to get them up to level, but what about the students that are beyond the grade level? They deserved to be challenged as well. Can you imagine the frustration of students who grasp concepts quickly having to review the lesson plan five or six times? It may sound elitist but it is reality, why should some students be held back or be bored because some in the class do not learn as quickly? Imagine the frustration of a student that needs the information repeated several times and it does not happen because the majority of the class gets it the first time. Levelling may not seem fair to some, but it is life.
