But we have a free will to make choices, to accept his truth or reject it, which is very evident in your case. There is a Heaven, it's the most wonderful place, but only the faithful christians will be there with the Lord. The soul exists, more than you know. And you can't prove it doesn't exist. I pray that you and those like you will turn to Christ before you experience a place that you probably think doesn't exist, but does, and that's a place called Hell.

As usual my words are being twisted into pretzels. Must be a lot of future lawyers on this site. Anyway, a couple of people on here are asking me to do something which has not been done: produce proof of Heaven or the soul, or be discredited for what i say. My argument isn't weakened by bringing up Hell; actually it's a favor to you and the others. By warning you i'm doing you a favor, if i don't warn you then i'm wrong. So i'll warn you anyway out of concern, not hate or arrogance. Back to my earlier topic...how can i produce proof of Heaven or the soul? Can i make my soul jump out of me and stand next to me and have someone take a picture? Or can i go on the space shuttle and try to snap a photo of Heaven? Totally absurd and ludicrous. If you require physical proof, you've missed the point completely. Faith doesn't consist of what's seen, but what isn't. And for the record, i don't follow a demon-god, I follow the TRUE GOD. Yahweh is the jewish name for God, and it's a shame he's blasphemed here so much. I couldn't imagine doing that. To all the other christians who have posted here: Keep it up, have faith, and endure. For the rest, well...the bible says things far better than i ever could, so i'll leave these with you:

Have just read your lengthy blurb condemning Christianity and its bible. Was wondering what hope you offered in place of Jesus and His Scriptures? What 'truth' are Christians supposed to wake up to? Something substantial and not the drippy "let's drink for tomorrow we die" drivel.

Yopur blurb readily condemned religion. I'm all for the proper rebuke of religion that offers people a fake God. Such peddlers were the enemies of Jesus in his day, offering the common person a God of rules rather than a relational God who reveals himself in the person of Jesus.

As a pastor I continue to meet people who only know what Jesus said but have never met Him in their lives and show no evidence of His life and joy flowing in them. They give Him lip service and do religious things but have never surrendered to His lordship and followed Him. In turn they turn off people from the real Jesus because of their religious life.

I wonder if you have met the real Jesus, Jerry? I can't help but think you met religion and its disciples. Perhaps you may find that Jesus isn't the imaginary God that you think he is.

First of all i'll say that what Jesus said was true, he never lied once. I read about what people say about his returning. He said that even he or the angels in heaven don't know when he will return, but the Father only. Since we as humans have greed and selfishness in us, unfaithful christians and unbelievers would be doing everything they wanted to until probably about an hour or so before he showed up, then there would be a lot of repentance going on. It's very wise not to give an exact time. How else would the Lord know who was faithful, and watching...and who wasn't? Makes sense to me. And Gautama, Galileo, Newton, or Einstein cannot save your soul for all eternity. Only Jesus Christ has the power and authority to do that. Your education, money, family, or friends won't do any good. Just him.

I definately think its a choice that the child should make (so long as the parent as guardian doesnt have some major issue against piercings themselves). This way the little tyke has an oportunity to learn about choices and consequences in a fairly obvious way.

It would be an issue for me if the sport were a full contact type, such as football. Guys tend to be more physicaly competitive, even little kids. However I sugest neither baseball or softball fit into that category so there seems to be no practical reason to segregate the teams at such a young stage. Taking that a bit further, anyopne know a definition for full contact sport is?

IMHO Western society has built up a lot of artificial sexual divisions between kids that usualy cause more harm than good. When I was a kid it made no difference to me whether I was playing against girls or boys, it\'s a decision made by adults \'for the good\'.

Not sure if I really want my kids celebrating every time they fall over :lol: but I certainly don\'t panic and get all upset myself. I 100% agree with you there.

The best thing I have found is to do a quick check on their reaction then walk away if they popped up quick like they are inclined to do. Kids shrug off things like running full tilt into a door frame remarkably better than I would, that\'s for sure.

Anyhow so they know I\'m there if they need me, but am not going to give them endless sympathy beacuse they did an oopsie. That way if something really dramatic happens then I can be there.

Course either approach supposes two things. I pretty much saw what happened and the imediate aftermath, and I can make a pretty good guess where the kid\'s head is at.

Humans can eat meat or vegetables, really its just a mater of whats available and personal preference. I agree that kids can make the call about what they eat, when they are old enough to prepare food themselves. Personally I really enjoy a juicy beef steak, but thats just me.

As for predisposing a kids stomach for types of food, isn\\\'t it better that kids enjoy veges? Besides a *decent* vege diet should mean your guts can handle meat in moderation anyway doesnt it?

Last fall grieving Amish forgave the killer and reached out to his family. They did not strap on firearms. My son goes to Virginia Tech and had a class scheduled at 9AM Monday in Norris 200. His professor was out of town and cancelled the class. My son and all his friends are safe. I do not know that I can forgive the killer but the Lord's prayer indicates that I should if I want forgiveness myself.

well, you need to think about what you want to do with your device.. phone, txt, email, web, photos, music, video, TV. There's a device that is best for each purpose. If you want to do all those things then Nokia smartphones (S60 3) like a N75, N80, or N95 are hands-down the best. Nokia's also have the best cameras and a great developer environment in S60 so there's tons of apps. Be leary of the carriers.. they are actually competing with the device makers now and can't market worth a damned. They push devices on Joe Public that they want to unload and make money from... oh, they also want you to consume data and pay $$$. There's some great devices out there from Nokia, RIm, and sony ericsson, tehre's also loads of crap like the Motorola razor and many others. OF note is to be aware of locked devices which can't be migrated to another carrier and beware of contracts as well. I'm partial to Nokia smartphones but the reason is obvious... hands-down they make the best product, the OS is far superior, there's tons of apps, and the price is right... oh, and they work!

I could care less about the Confederate flag (and yes, I am a Southerner) but if I did, I would find the display tasteless also.

I also find tasteless the way many merchants and even the US Olympic Organization has used the US flag. I think the low point was when the men's swim team speedos were were designed in a manner similar to that of our flag. Then there was the Old Navy t-shirts appearing after 9-11 that had their logo on the t-shirt with the flag.

Would I have taken this photo? Honestly I don't know. Had this been an attractive lady of any age would that have made a difference - most likely.

However, if I was doing a story on the kind of people that goes to the beach and who still worry about their skin in the sun I probably would have taken the same shot and then tried for an interview and a short statement.

But just to take a picture like this just for posting or to make fun of someone - no.

However, in the context of what your post is, I think, and in looking for thoughts of others then this is, IMHO, a legitimate photo that is done quite nicely geared towards getting a response from others and in that you have been sucessful.

Is this a trick question? Yeah, she does look at rest & I did a RT with your Tweet on that premise, but I have to admit, the more I look at this the more it doesn't look tranquil.

Otherwise, it is a good capture with great exposure.
