Looks like things are shaping up alright for you. Congrats :) One would suggest getting a friend, maybe a professional, to take nice pictures of you guys. You can save those as a part of your portfolio or something.

I'm reminded of a scene from Mr Bean when he pretended to be a barber and put a bowl on a kid's head and cut his hair accordingly :)

I once attended a Grey's Anatomy-themed birthday party. Everyone had to have a "Mc" name.

Mine is McLame :>

in Writer’s Strike = No Grey’s Anatomy.. on Aronil
They fully deserve what they're asking for, in my opinion. The writer is one of the most important people on a film production. The producer/director might say, "Ok we need this scene to be more emotional." The writer is the luckless bugger who has to sit in front of the blank computer screen and come up with that.

Obviously, whoever made that comment had absolutely no clue what he's talking about :>

There's a writer, John August, who is manning the strike lines in LA. He writes about his experience on johnaugust.com. It's a good place to get a better understanding of why they're feeling agrieved about this, and how things are going for them on a day-to-day basis.

At least you don't say, "like." Every time I catch myself saying that, I feel like a bimbo from Beverly Hills.

"Do you want to go, like, make a movie or something?" :>

in What is this…? on Aronil
The whole broom thing was done in order to embarass the departments to buck up their efforts. By all accounts, it was effective, as, since the minister made the threat, the tax collection improved twofold. However, given that he had already promised it earlier, he gave it to the worst performing department regardless. In that regard, it turned out to be very effective. Thus, I support this measure being put in place. It'll be even better if this can be applied across the board.

It is indeed amazing. But I also highly recommended John Powell's work in 'The Bourne Ultimatum'. Makes your heart race that bit faster. Coupled with the onscreen action, absolutely thumping. Sean Callery's work on '24' is also excellent in the same vein.

Yes, her voice is quite nice. There's an intensity to it, even on the low notes, but at the same time, it's quite delicate and soft. An interesting combination.

I'm sure if you spread the word, more people would've spread the word. As you yourself noted, these kind of things don't get much press, and people can't turn up at events they don't know about.
