in Belonga receives 15 to 30 year sentence on Nashua Telegraph
That's up to 150 days per year added for misbehavior, up to the maximum of 30 years. There is no time off for good behavior in the state prison system.

Justice served...finally
Oh I see... thank you very much for the clarification...that part was a little hard to hear during the live video.

in Sex offender released with charges pending on Nashua Telegraph
I should have clarified in the story: The terms of his probation prohibit unsupervised contact with children younger than 16; the violation was for drinking with minors. Please note that he is merely accused of these things; he has not been convicted (proven guilty) of any of it.

A neighbor
Yet you wrote "Driscoll served his jail time, and was free on probation July 6, when Wilton police found him in the company of two girls, ages 17 and 16, all of them drinking, according to probation officer Jason Berry." So, the kiddie porn was not a violation of his probation? Armed rape of a child, two convictions?
"In early August, however, probation officers received an anonymous letter, which appeared to have been written by a girl, tipping them off that they should check Driscoll’s home, Philbrook said. The writer claimed to believe that Driscoll would harm or even kill her if he knew she had provided information on him, and she used a fictitious name, Philbrook said.
Berry searched Driscoll’s home Aug. 8 and found pornography on his computer, as well as images suspected to be child pornography on a disc taped to the bottom of his desk, Philbrook said.
" You DID write this, right?
And something is wrong with the law if the police must have the identity of the child in order to prosecute a kiddie porn case. Cindy Rosenwald, please take notice and change this law.
Telegraph, when are you going to do an indepth story about the judges and back room deals on child rapists in Southern NH? The kids are intimidated, and humilated into giving a plea, or the judge is pro-pedophile like this. The prosecution uses the AGE of the victim as a defense, they couldn't possibly be telling the truth if they believe in the tooth fairy???
This is not right, and begs to have sunshine shone on it. Like noon, on a July sunny day.
What are you waiting for??

Mr. Driscoll was present in the courtroom, and heard the same information that I did, so I hardly think I was tipping him off to anything.

in Gas-saving tips widely agreed on on Nashua Telegraph
Get a scooter (75-100 mpg) or small motorcycle (50+ mpg)... better yet, bicycle (and burn calories per mile)

in It’s a murder case, not a sports story on Nashua Telegraph
We generally will try to emphasize whatever is most interesting and/or important, and yes, of course we are trying to sell papers. It's a business, not a non-profit or a charity. This tragedy was a big story, and we reported it as such. That's not "stiring controversy."

in NashuaTelegraph.com: Blogs on The Pop DinerWhat a hoot!
I recall seeing a photo in the recent student art exhibit at Nashua High North that used smudges on a windshield to good effect, too.
I like it dirty, myself... as in off-road.
