in Branded RSS readers or IE 7? on Mathew's comments
"Whatever people use, it’s important to find ways of making RSS easier for people other than geeks, or the real advantages of it as a micro-publishing format won’t be achieved."
I agree with you 100% about I.E. 7. You are absolutely right. I get excited thinking about all the people who will subscribe to my feeds when they have a familiar tool to do it with. I really can't wait.
My audience is as mainstream corporate as you can get -- and right now 60% subscribe to my blog via email alerts rather than RSS. Partly this is because they are not allowed RSS readers at work, but a bigger reason is that setting up a web-based account with Blogline or Pluck one of the many other options is just too much of a bind.
Microsoft will eventually own RSS because of this.

in Should journalists be human beings? on Mathew's comments
I'll take a journalist with an opinion, a point of view, a mission and a passion any day over a unmotivated hack who rewrites news releases and simply repeats what each side of an argument says without question.

in Doesn’t Amazon want to get naked? on Mathew's comments
While certain folks were harping on ad nauseam about this stupid non-event, let's see what actually happened in the world today:
Earthquakes kill 50, injure 800
Rice Concedes 'Tactical Errors' in Iraq
UN Security Council calls on Iran to suspend uranium enrichment
At least 57 die as Bahrain cruise boat sinks
Iran Test-Fires Missile Able to Duck Radar
Explosion kills Palestinian militant amid spreading violence
4 Israelis killed by suicide bomber at entrance to West Bank
NY releases 9/11 emergency calls
13 Ugandan pupils die in school fire
Now can you explain to me why your self-opinionated A-list genuflection matters to anyone?
