There is very useful firefox extension to silently install firefox extensions to your home machine. Its name is Mass Installer.

Another extension that can be useful in your situation is MR Tech's Local Install.

The primary goal of this extension is to provide the tools needed to install and manage extensions and themes locally. To do this the extension provides multi-extension installation support, hacking capabilities to the Extension/Theme manager windows, features to find and troubleshoot Extensions/Themes Build, GUID and Profile information.

Re: How To Get Data For Mrtg Without Running SNMP Daemon?

2Bor: Thanks for example, but such complex config file is not so easily readable/modificable and that is why I've created my script ;-)

Re: How to create IP-IP tunnel between FreeBSD and Linux

I've tried it in 4.X, but I think, that this command should be in 5.X and 6.X. maybe they've changed its name... You can create such setup for nginx. You can use rewrite module in following way:
<pre>
server {
root /path/to/your/public;

location / {
if (!-f $request_filename.html) {
# your proxy configuration
...
...
}

rewrite (.*) $1.html last;
}

location ~ \.html {
#dummy location for static files
}
}</pre>

Re: Nginx With PHP As FastCGI Howto

А почему алиас, а не просто root?

Re: Nginx With PHP As FastCGI Howto

Yes, just add another server section with different hostname.

Re: HAProxy - The Reliable, High Performance TCP/HTTP Load Balancer

Yeah!

First thing I did was assigning puppet master machine a name like puppet.local and adding an appropriate record to /etc/hosts. Then I've specified this name in /etc/puppetmasterd.conf:

[puppetmasterd]
reports = store,rrdgraph,tagmail,log
certname = puppet.local

Re: 32bit VS 64bit - what do you use?

2cencio: Actually there were many rumors regarding stability of ruby and mongrel on x86_64 boxes, but all stuff I've tried worked well so now I'm looking for more real-life examples from other people to make a final decision of switching our multi-million pageviews/day application entirely to 64-bit.

Re: 32bit VS 64bit - what do you use?

2cencio: Actually to start testing this platform I wanted to make sure at least a few large rails users would report that it works :-) Now I have enough information (EngineYard and few other large rails users have 64bit stuff and it obviously works well) and we're going to deploy our next app server on 64bit Ubuntu.

Anyways, thanks to all who answered.

Re: Using Sphinx for Non-Fulltext Queries

2W.
