BTW, he mentions my hometown in the song... "é um Belo horizonte" = "it's a Belo Horizonte" a pun with the name of my city, which means "beautiful horizon". That's why this music is so amazing... rich and beautiful poetry about the rains (waters) of March washing alway the summer season.

It's been looping in my ipod too. So much so, that I have made Portuguese subtitles for the entire clip yesterday night... finished at about 3AM. It was worth every second of it! BTW, BubblePly is awesome! Found it yesterday too.

You know, I'm in a healing process myself right this moment (sprain ankle). God has touched me deeply through this song. It also reminded me of the hard time my wife went through early this year... pretty rough. I cried listening to Healer and looking at her completely healed and pregnant with our first child watching TV with her mother, which God broght from Brazil to complete the blessings. It was an amazing experience... so many blessings after a storm. I believe! God is my healer!

Kat. I don't think there is such thing as "lame gold medals". The only lame ones I've ever seen are the ones Pam made out of yogurt lead (from The Office, in case you missed the joke... which was kinda lame in itself :0)

Anyway, China developed a program for the last 4 years to dominate the 'forgotten' sports... and to recruit underage gymnasts. hahaha another lame joke. As a host country I think they’re smart.

THE REAL PROBLEM IS WHEN YOUR COUNTRY (ACTUALLY, MINE) IS BEHIND BORAT'S KAZAKHSTAN IN EITHER WAY YOU CHOOSE TO COUNT THOSE DARN MEDALS!!! HAHAHAHAHA

Hey Jason, we don't care much for volleyball... to loose the men soccer semifinal to Argentina (our eternal soccer rival) was the REAL tragedy. The Portuguese line (which is translated to English right after it) 'sounds' like spam... unless Los is calling some Trannies. Hehehe.

I agree it's a sin. I confess that I also struggle with the acceptance/tolerance/judgment issue, but just to add a different perspective...

It's easy to quote a verse, theologize, exegesis, etc. when it's somebody else. But what if your son son, my brother, your father, my daughter comes out today? They may have to leave 'our' church, we may have to confront them... call them out, but then what?

It's all fine and clear until we turn the fingers to ourselves and our loved ones.
