in A Pricing Approach to Raise Your Consciousness on Rise of the Innerpreneur
What a fascinating approach. I'll look forward to hearing what you discover.

This summer a contractor did some work for us and it took much longer than he originally anticipated. At the end, he gave us the price he quoted us, the price that accurately reflected how long it took and let us choose anywhere in between that we felt good about. It was a great way of handling the situation and we all felt good about it. Having the parameters helped. I must admit I would have felt stressed if it had been wide open.

Okay, here's a sentence I never thought would come from me: I'm fascinated by all of the complexities of pricing.

Tara Joyce Jamie,

You brought up such a great point and one that I have been stuck on -
will customers feel uncomfortable or stressed having to set the value?
The whole point of value-pricing is to remove the negative energy that
exists around money.

What I keep coming back to is that this day in age, before most people
purchase something, they take the time to educate themselves on the
product and understand the price/value of it. Taking this into
account, a customer likely already has an idea of how much they can
spend and conversely how much it should cost.

This is such new territory for me. I started thinking about this
approach while in Nicaragua and the idea kept growing on me. There are
so many unknowns with it but that is what excites me. It is an
adventure into the unknown.

I wrote another piece on pricing that might be of interest to you now
that you are a pricing geek;) http://www.elasticmind.ca/innerpreneur/index.ph...

I always figure the best way to stop others from judging your dancing, is to ask them to join in. Sounds like a block party is in order at your place!

Hi, Dr. Congo.

Okay, I did make up the life enthusiast part but the other two are recognized, certified professions that make a real difference in people's lives. One of my favourite things about being creative is that more is possible than you might at first believe. I'd love to hear a leprechaun's job description!

in How do you define your self worth? on Carrie and Danielle
I heard a story of a speaker who had a $100 bill. He showed it to the audience and asked how much it was worth. Of course, everyone said $100. Then he stomped on it, twisted it, folded it, squished it, crumpled it; you get the idea. And he asked, "Now, how much is it worth?"

I believe deeply in the inherent worth of each of us, myself included. Nothing is required.

Caren Part of my legacy is that my 23 year old son can sit in front of a masterpiece for an hour to just be in joy. He loves Dali and Escher especially as well as his friend's work. Both my sons enjoy all the fine arts and musical composition. My legacy is that we can all have different opinions and still spread appreciation and magical fun..

Any cheese you like and under the broiler. Toaster ovens are ideal. In my lifetime it's ranged from cheddar on white to Havarti on 12-grain. All good.

I still remember the confused look on my now-husband's face the first time my sister offered him "melted cheese on bread."

in 11 Tips For Being Productively Creative: From Obsession to Knowing When to Quit on Carrie and Danielle
I'm just letting that first sentence sink in and roll around. I recently had someone say to me in a rather judgmental tone, "Are you saying that what you like is just creating for the sake of creating?" This is such a truth for me that I was a bit flummoxed by the questioning of it. I had to answer, "Well, yeah, I think creating in and of itself is sacred." Man, it's good to know where my people live. Thanks, Danielle.
