Thanks for bringing this service up, a film is available to download that is only available on VHS. I have been waiting for it to come out on DVD for years, but this is just as good.

You could also argue that SMs are a waste of time. I see a lot of people with a few thousand Digg and Stumbles and think how they could have better spent that time.

Very interesting ideas there. However, here in the UK I would be surprised if 1% of IT teachers have heard of Web 2.0. I did CCNA with a guy who hadn't even done semester 4 never mind the final. Tech courses are pretty bad here.

It's good to see that their is a divertisty of rails meetups. They also seem to be a lot less egocentric than some of the internet marketing and CSS conferences. Does anyone know if there are any meetups in the UK? I am new to rails, but hoping to get involved once I've picked up a bit more.

Why move to WP? The code is an absolute disgusting mix of botched <span class="caps">PHP</span>, HTML, <span class="caps">XML</span> and JS. It is also made by people who really should know about security by now.

It certainly can do. You just have to buckle down. I find IM is the biggest distraction. I know quite a few people who spend way to much time on sites like Digg though.

Great post. It is good to hear this as it is something I have noticed too. I think the worst crowd are the self appoint internet marketing elite, followed by the arrogant web 2.0 crowd.
