Very interesting ideas there. However, here in the UK I would be surprised if 1% of IT teachers have heard of Web 2.0. I did CCNA with a guy who hadn't even done semester 4 never mind the final. Tech courses are pretty bad here.

I'm not too keyed up in the web 2.0 world, but when I first saw Plurk i thought it looked cool, but was just another start-up waiting to fail. Surprised to see its coming into its element.

Indian SEO has been about for years. A lot of people outsource there because it is so much cheaper.

It's good to see that their is a divertisty of rails meetups. They also seem to be a lot less egocentric than some of the internet marketing and CSS conferences. Does anyone know if there are any meetups in the UK? I am new to rails, but hoping to get involved once I've picked up a bit more.

Could someone explain to me what these ping services are all about. I'm new to blogging and trying to catch up. Are they something to do with social media sites or rss feed aggregators?

Thanks for bringing this service up, a film is available to download that is only available on VHS. I have been waiting for it to come out on DVD for years, but this is just as good.

You could also argue that SMs are a waste of time. I see a lot of people with a few thousand Digg and Stumbles and think how they could have better spent that time.

Why move to WP? The code is an absolute disgusting mix of botched <span class="caps">PHP</span>, HTML, <span class="caps">XML</span> and JS. It is also made by people who really should know about security by now.
