i wouldnt call it trash talking. are you blowing it out of proportion because this blog is powered by Disqus? personally i am not a fan of danial ha ha ha and find their product to be intrusive. if what they say is true about losing comments, i dont see a use for any service within this niche.
Duncan Riley Erin, no argument with your personal preference, and sure, Disqus has had some hiccups. I have no relationship with Disqus though other than we use them and Daniel has been good to us in terms of direct support when we've needed it.
I do think though that if your product is strong enough, you'd be selling your product first, not trash talking the opposition as JS-Kit has in the past. For the record I don't think they've done it since, so maybe it was a lesson learned. This is a space that focuses on sharing and networks, it was just disappointing previously that JS-Kit didn't seem to embrace that aspect of the business.
