Wow, your backyard sounds eerily like ours. Except our daughters cubby is still used and she gets so upset when the chooks go in there and start pecking her little plastic kitchen. :)

Yeah they are such a great breed, so well natured, our dog tries to play with them when they escape and they just lie down... poor little buggers.

Isa Brown same as yours - good layers, gentle & dumb! From the famous Rent-A-Chook bloke in Sydney.
We have a huge backyard so fenced off the back section which is wild with all sorts of weeds etc and those two girls are doing a wonderful job of getting rid of the weeds and tilling the soil - they're amazing.
We converted the old kids cubby house into a mansion of chook pen

Yep, Pamela is a Toto song also. My daughter always forgets Pamela's name and calls the other 'Rosenana' which is cute.

Ohh, Gladys and Molly are nice names! What breed are they? (Not that I am likely to recognise it)

Yeah we give lots of eggs away as we don't eat them quick enough.

Hi Akilesh, I would just experiment, you can change it later. Start by assigning it 256mb.

I cant say that you will get good performance, but it should still work.

Well that didn't work. I now have a virtual machine that took time to set up with the server and applications, that won't run. Thanks for your help.

To return it to default values, just set it to nothing;
VBoxManage.exe setextradata "Fedora 10" VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/ssh/HostPort

Ok I did that, went through the rest of your set up using VBoxManage and now the virtual machine won't start up at all. Configuration for host port failed. How do I set the values back so that it will run?

You should just need to either disable ufw;
sudo ufw disable

Or, if you want it to run, allow connections from ports 22 and 80..
sudo ufw allow 22
sudo ufw allow 80

And thats it.

Ok I got as far as the bridged adaptor, then went to modify the iptables files, but I can't find the sysconfig folder. I'm running Ubuntu 8.10, which appears to be different to Fedora. I've been using Windows for the last 15 years or so and have only started with Ubuntu in the last couple of months, so its all new to me.

Hi nhb,
It should be very similar, I recently did it again using Mac OS X (host) and Kubuntu (Guest) and it was the same. Just find the app 'vboxmanage' and the commands should be identical.

I love World of Goo. Bought it not long after it launched. Got no probs spending $20 on a great game and I dont pirate software as I am a developer myself and I know how I'd feel if people did it to me.

The Garrett Government? Peter Garrett is the minister for environment, not the prime minister, Kevin Rudd is the PM.
This cancellation isn't abrupt at all, we had a lot of notice that this was happening and in its place we have interest-free government loans (http://www.environment.gov.au/greenloans/index....) to cover more than just solar power.
While I agree that the rebate was great and should not have been cancelled, this is another example of TH not having the facts before blasting.

The content in question has been removed. In case you missed it in the screen shots, the issue is that Poland photoshopped out a black man and replaced him with a white man. Pretty poor.

As already stated in the comments, you can get all this functionality free through dropbox and gmail syncing. The only thing you can't get free is find my iPhone. As I am anal about my iPhone and where I leave it, I'll be keeping the $99 in my pocket. On the upside, as a stout Linux user, I have recently decided that my next machine will be an iBook... Kinda excited about it, too.

Bugger... So again us Aussies get shafted. This is starting to piss me off. I use last.fm a fair bit. I would consider paying for the service but as a matter of principle, I think that if the US, UK and Germany get it for nothing, then so should the rest of us.

Great post Chris, I really enjoyed it.
I think thats where I am right now, trying to connect with people from all walks of life that share some common interest. I am mainly using Twitter for this, I find facebook and linkedin a little heavy for lite chit chat. It makes it so much cooler when they are from somewhere near you also.
