Why hello there, my friend! Congrats on the new site!

I have to admit I was weary of engaging in social media/network stuff because I *do* like human interaction, I'm a people person. But I've come to realize lately that meeting up with people and utilizing social networks don't have to be mutually exclusive. These paths cross over and back again, and I've met some really cool people as part of the process and the cliche of the nerd behind a glaring laptop screen surrounded by empty Red Bull cans at 3 in the morning doesn't really apply to me (anymore).

Good call on that Zuckerberg/Lacy debacle. *head hits desk* What was she thinking?

Love reading about one of my favorite peeps and seeing what makes her tick. Do your thing, ma. (tacos). ;)

I don't even know where to begin. I love my social media outlets, but I don't know how many more I can stomach. I recently joined FriendFeed, but the UI is ugly and I can't figure out how to use it. BriteKite? I don't want people knowing where I am ALL THE TIME. The dinosaur in me still has a myspace account, though I rarely use it, and I just signed up with Facebook (which I love). But for the record, I just whore myself out so people will read my blog. ;)

What about Gatorade readings? I don't drink coffee. But I would if it meant that Jason Calacanis would follow me on Twitter. And I mean *really* followed me.

I could say something like *dead* which is what I'd say anyway, but given the context, I'll let the pun runneth over. And I don't know if I'm just not that connected, but I had to look up the TED conference. I thought it was that thing that Ted Turner does when he gets all his rich folk up to Wyoming and they chant in their sweat circle. Boy, was I wrong.

That kinda behavior is totally and completely inappropriate when it comes to being on the world stage with an event such as the Olympics. It is completely dead on and right between my 400 thread count sheets, though. That kinda craziness means he has to be a great fuck. Ara? Get at me.

I realize this just might be the fag in me, but I LOVE a hairy man. I'm not saying they have to be so hirsute that you can't tell the front from the back (eww), but to me there's nothing more masculine than a man with a little fuzz on his bod. Hairless men to me = prepubescent. It's one thing to just naturally be on the smoother side, but its another thing to completely depilate oneself. Personally, I love it.

New to the iPhone situation, myself. My Treo 650 (yup, I said 650) was DYING and it just so happened that last Sunday my contract expired. I headed to the Apple Store in Pasadena on a Tuesday at 7am, they opened at 8am, and maybe a half hour later, I was good to go (existing ATT Wireless customer).

Anyway, no real complaints on my end. 2.0.1 seemed to make it faster and snappier...at least in terms of flipping through contacts, SMSs, and across the apps on the home screen. Good review.

I would *love* a T-Rex Louis Vuitton handbag! And re: micro-blogging. I already find myself never coming close to using all 140 characters that Twitter provides you for each blurb. What does that say about me? Don't answer that.

I actually hate to admit just how internet dependent I've become. From ordering pizza, finding out movie times, dating, throwing fits, and start arguments. Who needs people!?! In all seriousness, even though I try to shy away from partaking in the world of social media, I actually use Facebook, Twitter, etc. as a conduit to try and meet people in real life. No substitute for that.

Thanks for speaking out, hon. I'm glad and proud to consider you a friend and want nothing but the best because you're good people, and you deserve it. Onward and upward.

I can't even deny how hot those glasses are and I don't even have cataracts. I dare say you probably don't either. Cyclops from X-Men might be jealous, but I'm not hating on him, when its clear Wolverine is the hot top daddy from that group. Anyway, good looking out.

Thanks for sharing your insight. As someone who has always written, and only recently seriously considered the prospect of blogging full time, I am grateful for your perspective. Also, as someone who has to sit through the 9-5 monotony and tries to find time when he can to handle his blog posts, I can understand where you're coming from.

Aw, sweets. I wanna reach through my MBP and give you a big hug. I've certainly had those moments. Actually, more often than not, but at some point you grab ahold of the beast, shake it off, and then try and get *through* it. Note: Not *over* it, but *through it. Big difference. Anyway, anyhow...for the record, your Tweets give me supreme satisfaction, and I can't say how happy I am that our paths crossed. X's and O's to you, love.

Whoa. This is like...well, whoa. Stuff like this makes you stop and think about the things that are important, and not dwell on the superficial. Thanks for sharing, sweets.

I have to chime in as well. I fully embrace the digital world; I have to. But there's still something to be said for hand-crafted, tactile, analog work. E-books and digital downloads aside, there's something to be said for turning a page and knowing that one passage (the one you highlighted) is halfway down on the left.

Computers and technology are just tools. Concepts, ideas, and skill are even more important, so its compelling that in the face of that, Ophelia elects to work so hands on. That being said, I suppose she still has to scan and post to her site, just to keep the playing field level.
