Wow some people on here have such incredible and lofty goals - very inspiring!! And I'm actually one of the mom writers/editors on Kelby's Type A site, so I'd love to see her win!!!

My goals and dreams have to do with my virtual legal assistance business. I had my third child last year and was inspired to start a business from my home working as a virtual assistant. My goal is to eventually have so much work that I can start a team/company of other virtual legal assistants that can partner with lawyers, firms and small businesses. I want a flexible lifestyle (able to work wherever, whenever) with plenty to keep me busy and challenged. I want to be an example for my children of achieving your dreams - to show them you can be a good mom and still be ambitious and intelligent.

Great interview! I am really enjoying the tips over at TwiTip and of course I am a huge Twitter fan. My VA business is in the early stages and ALL of my clients so far are from Twitter!!

Google alerts *seems* to catch these types of things for me, and I make sure I have all kinds of search terms accounted for in my alerts - business name, my name, twitter name, etc. Good luck!

1. Promise ring from dh (when he was still only my boyfriend many years ago!)
2. It was so special because the commitment meant so much to me - the pure joy and purity of young love, you know. And we're standing the tests of time even with 3 lovely boys to keep us on our toes!
3. I would share this prize with my best friend for sure - other than my husband she is the rock in my life. Always helping out with my kids and supporting me in my choices. She's amazing and would so appreciate a gift like a computer!

I don't think of myself as a "connector" really, but I certainly think that the value of reciprocity in social networking is not well realized by a lot of people. so posts like this are a great reminder to some that there is value in giving as well as receiving. Just because something has been around a long time doesn't mean enough people truly know how to benefit from it!!

I'll chime in as another semi-experienced VA from Twitter! I don't respond to most requests of "I'm looking for a VA" on Twitter. For one, they do end up with a ton of responses, many from newbie type VA's or people who want a VA "job". I interact well and regularly with my target clientele on Twitter and feel strongly that they will come to me when they need a VA. I think anyone who is serious about needing some help will end up doing more than a simple Twitter request, when they realize what is involved in finding the right VA to work with.

Congrats on taking such a great leap Tina! I am a big fan of choosing a niche and doing the things you love in your business - instead of trying to be everything! In my time in the VA world, I've definitely realized that I have to refer away some clients who just aren't looking for a service I want to provide!

Loved this post April! I use nicknames on my site now, but in the past used their full names and didn't bother to change all the old posts. I am pretty open on my blog in general and do post pictures of my family sometimes. I am very careful about keeping other things private though - like friends who have told me they wouldn't want pictures or details shared, etc. Other than that, I guess I'll just figure it out as I go forward!
