Perhaps we need the modern social media equivalent? Hubris is worth guarding against! (OK so I'm mixing Greek & Roman ideas, but it makes sense ;)

Re: FaceFeed To Emerge After US$50 Million Deal?

I don't want to mingle my FB & FF contacts - they are separate for a reason.

Re: The never ending war

Inspirational & one of the reasons I liked Babylon 5!

Re: Recentering your faith

Chris a good way to think in these troubled times :)

Re: Social media and new media are not the same

Chris - really good explanation of the difference between old, new, and social media. Especially that social media requires social participation. Very insightful.

Re: Vision, strategy, and tactics

Chris - this is a really good article! Sounds like we're seeing cooperation/competition become tactical plays depending on the situation. In the past, really the only option seen as viable was competition.

Re: Hey Scoble — you’re killing Twitter

I've said it before - if you build an application and then open it up the global masses you've got to plan for success. Twitter is a classic case study in unanticipated success. Most sites would be glad to have Scoble & Laporte as active users. Twitter needs to work out how to scale & do it fast. It has created a devoted and active user community that is worth supporting.

Re: Twitter spewage among my contacts (Scripting News)

Hey Dave - always interesting to see your analyses. Given the high standards of the overall event I can see why the audience might have gone a little nuts. Also the fact that audiences can now share real time feelings with entire world shows that things have changed a little for presenters. If their gut says they don't like you there is no time for rationalisation - the tweets just go off into cyberspace (it is almost like the id is being set free).
