this article is soo necessary. every day i'm on the train i get squished by overweight and obese women. i blogged (personal not sassy) that i wanted to lose some weight and all my friends were like "no you're fine." well according to my BMI i'm overweight (just a little but still time to put some work in at the gym).

Most of the quotes come from long-time friends and all support the fact that she would be a fantastic First Lady. On the one hand, it IS a puff piece. On the other hand, this is what America reads and it's important to reach people where they are. I thought it was a very 'humanizing' article.

i agree with the Barack can't afford to be angry idea. my boss is a professor at columbia and he was explaining that he can't afford to get mad and loud at work or else it'll scare everyone and then he'll be the angry black man. i don't know if i'd be able to hold it inside during work hours but i give these men props.

I would buy one of these for practical reasons... Being in the military it would be nice not to have to turn my phone off before every formation. I just slip it in it's case, and no interuption. It's a great idea for people that spend a lot of time in meetings or formal settings.

I'm sure that convenience was why this thing was invented. And I like it.

If your ever around Exeter, NH check out the Oaklands Town Forest and the Henderson-Swasey Town Forest. They're located right off of Rt. 101 (actually there's a tunnel that connects the two underneath 101) and they have some beautiful trails for running and biking. I don't know if there's trail maps of the area but it's worth a look if your in the mood for a new spot.

I can understand why religious people want to use any technology at their disposal to share that faith -- but why would atheists want to expend so much effort talking about religion? The Blasphemy Challenge, for example, doesn't seem to do anything to promote a philosophical atheism, just demonstrates that the participants are still way more hung up on religion than they probably even understand.
