Absolutely awesome! Thanks for sharing and literally testing the waters on somethings like this. I think it's brilliant. For those that are younger and comfortable with social media and the web, I don't see it as distraction. I can see it as very distracting for an older, traditional attender though. What we need to realize though is that we're not trying these things for them. It's not about them. It's about those who are out there and feel disconnected. What a great use of this technology! Great statements Aaron, I agree with you 100%. There were definitely too many balls dropped in this whole event, but part of the problem with not getting to the solution is far too many people walking around pointing at all the balls on the ground instead of shutting their mouths and picking them up themselves.

I'm currently with Comcast and already a TiVo subscriber with a Series2 box. I'm pretty close to purchasing a Series3 HD box and ditching Comcast's hardware in exchange for 2 CableCards (for $.99) according to their rep. Is this still the best option for me or should I stick with the Comcast TiVo box? The existing Comcast DVR sucks.

Pick me! Pick me! I need something like this. I've got a wonderful 36" Sony WEGA HD tv. The only problem is it's only got one HDMI input. With my cable box and Xbox 360, I don't have anywhere to plugin any more HD components. Here's my previous comment.

That makes it even tougher. Having experienced and continuing to use an actual TiVo powered DVR just makes Comcast's look like even more of a "less than service." You'd get the multi unit discount on your monthly fee for another unit wouldn't you. You'd be saving $10/mnth just on the service costs.

Wow! That looks exactly like my car, minus all the service lights being on. Toyota Camry right? What year? I've got a '96, and am about to turn 206,000 miles on it. Bought it for $1800 and I hope to put another 100k on it.

I've got one. I forget it's in my ear sometimes because I've gotten used to it and it's so light. I am trying to take it out though when I'm not driving. Although it also comes in handy when I'm working on the computer and need to be a phone call as well.

It's totally nothing to worry about. I had the laser procedure done, barely felt a thing. Of course the site of a small wisp of smoke rising up from the area at the beginning was a little disconcerting. The funniest thing of the entire event was the songs we heard in the waiting room.

1.) Great Balls of Fire - Jerry Lee Lewis
2.) Maneater - Hall & Oates

There was one more that "fit" but I can't think of it right now.

Have fun sitting on the recliner for a day or two and relaxing. Warning! Don't let the kids even think about running and jumping on you in the chair, that was a big wake-up call!

I think #1 & #2 are true and #3 is the lie.

TRUE --- 1. Tony regularly watches the Oprah show.
My reasoning is that there are probably topics of ministry interest that happen on Oprah that cause you to watch it regularly (which is not to be construed as daily).

TRUE --- 2. Tony has been to Oprah's house.
I think you may have been "to" Oprah's house, but maybe never stepped inside.

FALSE --- 3. Tony is relieved the feud between Oprah and Dave is over.
I don't think you were really worked up enough to actually feel "relief" that the feud was over.

Wouldn't two doubles be technically "worth" the same? First batter gets to 2nd base, 2nd better gets to 2nd base, which also advances the existing runner on 2nd, to home. Two doubles and one homerun both score a run.

BUT! With two doubles, you've also got another player in scoring position!

Just my $.02 and I don't even watch baseball that much!

This is a great topic to be discussed and I think a huge opportunity for local tourism. Having just come back from BlogWorldExpo '08 in Vegas, I was able to take advantage of the local businesses working with Blog4Tix.com to get free passes to see a Blue Man Group show. All I had to do was write about my experience. I also visited The Hoover Dam while I was there and asked about discounts available if I wrote up a blog post or two about the visit. They weren't interested. I think with the economic challenges facing us, more and more people are going to be staying closer to home for their leisure trips and entertainment. What better way to be market and advertise local businesses and opportunities than to work with your local community of bloggers. Word of mouth advertising is still the most valuable right? The Venetian and Blue Man Group didn't "need" my help to get their name out there more, but they understand that any buzz about their location and attractions is going to help them in the long run.

I thought your presentation was good today. The nerves didn't come across noticeably to me in the audience. The venue was great, the hiccup with easily accessing a free wi-fi connection seemed out of place. Understand security, but I'd think the "School of Informatics" would understand how to open AND protect their network to on-campus guests a little easier.

Great post! Gives me more to think about, I've got a number of years before my two kids are teens, but I know it will fly by before I know it. I think one of the worst things we do is push kids into college when they're really not ready for it. There are other options: military, trades, service organizations.

The challenge is how to balance spending time with the family with spending time doing those things you have to so you can take care of and provide for them as well. Looks like I'll probably be heading to Blog World Exp after all. Just have to figure out how to save as much money as possible on airfare. We're going to Disney World the beginning of December. We've found that the timing then is perfect. Too far past Thanksgiving for people extending that holiday and too far away from Christmas for people extending that vacation. I have no problems at all taking my kids out of school for those days either.

It's my understanding that I have to manage an iPhone with iTunes. In my opinion installing iTunes and Quicktime on my computer again would be like willingly installing viruses and malware on it. I do not hold iTunes, Quicktime or Adobe Reader in very high regard anymore.

I could have clarified a bit that I did look at each option and believe I chose the correct one. Here's what each of them say in order: 1.) Redirect files and folders to same path on destination domain, 2.) Redirect files and folders to destination domain root, 3.)
Do not redirect files and folders.
