Clever! Greatly reduces the annoyance factor that it's a sales ad. Just building on contact with existing clients.

Nancy, you've just summed it up: "As women, we always have drama in our life."
Yup - and so easy to let it stand in our way.

Thanks for the reminders here. Great post!

in What’s the best concert you ever attended? on Carrie and Danielle
Best hands down was the free Burton Cummings concert in the park during the Festival of Friends in Hamilton Ontario. It could never be duplicated - perfect evening, sitting with friends on a blanket on the grass, song after song after song from my past - ans then, when I was sure he'd done them all, more songs.
And the people - I was so proud of my (then) fellow Hamiltonians. Not a rowdy in the bunch.
MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............

in What do you know the most about? on Carrie and Danielle
I know how receiving an unexpected card can brighten a day, touch a heart or even change a life. I love to think about the joy that I spread every day as I send cards to the people in my life.

in What is your favorite fiction book? on Carrie and Danielle
yes, as noted, many, many, many choices..

I first read Mrs. Mike by Bernard & Nancy Freedman when I was in grade 8. It captivated me then and does still today.

The World-Wide-Web. What did we ever do before so much information was at our fingertips?

in What’s your favorite eco-friendly habit? on Carrie and Danielle
Without a doubt, COMPOSTING kitchen & yard waste.
We recycle & compost and have less than one bag of garbage per month for our household of two people. It's amazing to see how very little needs to go to the landfill.

in What’s the best relationship advice you’ve ever given or received? on Carrie and Danielle
Concentrate on the GIVING. In any type of relationship - familial, friendship, life partners - the more you invest, the more you will receive. But remember, it's not about the receiving - it's about the GIVING.
And communicate - it's the life blood of any relationship.

I'd buy my cards with the points balance in my Send Out Cards account :-)

Better lighting, and an electrical boundary system that would keep out the cats and dogs (love 'em, though I do)

in What are your 3 top priorities this week? on Carrie and Danielle
Be certain that I am spiritually nourished by studying the Bible by myself and in the "congregated throng".
Keep my business on track by making a LONG list of phone calls.
Pay the bills without panicking and know that the wealth will come.

in What’s your image of God? on Carrie and Danielle
I agree with Andrea's eloquent reply.

It's difficult to have an image of something which has no physical form, yet God is reflected magnificently in the perfect accuracy, symmetry & beauty of the natural system he created.

The Bible gives us descriptions such as the ones in Daniel & in Revelation (example 4:11) to help us to see the qualities that make up the invisible spirit - all of those that Andrea mentioned and powerful, just, the epitome of love - certainly worthy to receive glory, honor & devotion.

in Who in your life do you admire… and why? on Carrie and Danielle
My grandmother. She always made each of her grandchildren feel as if they each were her very favourite. I want my grandchildren to feel that way too.

in What do you regret? on Carrie and Danielle
Caroline - my life seems to have parallelled yours but 20 years earlier and in accounting instead of law.
Don't despair. As you said there's plenty left to do - and you can listen now. I did at your age and I'm in a FANTASTIC place in my life now.

in What’s your favourite inspirational quote? on Carrie and Danielle
"People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel."

This quote by Maya Angelou sums up why I send cards!

in What would be your last meal and with whom would you share it? on Carrie and Danielle
This makes me cry - especially Joannie's response. I know we'd be together again in the new world, but even the temporary leaving would be so painful!

Maybe we could all consider the question "What is your perfect meal?" or something like that. Then we could concentrate on the food!

in What’s the best workshop or course you ever took? on Carrie and Danielle
I am a life-long learner and have attended literally hundreds of workshops, seminars & classes. All of have had an effect on my life. And sometimes these events will touch us far beyond what the curriculum might suggest.

My life was changed during Kim Chernecki's bconscious three day workshop in Toronto in spring 2000.

Although I'm no longer in the career that I discovered during the workshop, it opened me up to the endless possibilities within myself.

in What do you do to promote your own happiness? on Carrie and Danielle
I begin each day by sending an unexpected card of gratitude and appreciation to someone I care about. This new habit has had a profound effect on my life!

It's amazing what happens when I set the tone for the day by thinking about who or what I'm are grateful for in my life.
