Good pics...mine are mostly the same, except I'm going with Evans instead of Griffin.

flackadelic You win! What a great win for Evans. I'm just pleased to have so many great bouts. Don't you think Mir looks like a beast? It should make for a good rematch with Lesnar.

in The Four I's of Social Media | danny brown on danny brown - social media pr and marketing
Hey Danny -

Great post, and it reminds me of one I wrote a few weeks ago called The 4M Theory of Social Media Releases ( cli.gs/4mtheory ). I think that the two strategies are complimentary, and I'm probably going to spend some time today thinking about yours.

I definitely like Invest and Interact on your list - I'm going to start using those words instead of the cheesy phrase "put the 'social' in social media."

in Personal note: A job change for yours truly on Mathew's comments
"Some attempts will fail," you wrote.
That's great - if you weren't trying new and innovative things for the paper, everything would pass. You can't experiment without some chance of failure.

Good luck with this, Mathew. I know you're the man for the job,a nd I look forward to continuing to read the Globe and Mail.

in No one actually “follows” 2,000 people on Mathew's comments
I think that David Jones said it best a few months ago: "Anyone who has time to follow more than 300 people needs a job"

and @gangles - interesting point. I hadn't thought of that!

Mark 'Rizzn' Hopkins @gangles and @parker...

Services like hashtags are already getting screwed by the API limitations, so it's pretty clear here that Twitter isn't concerned with a lot of the effects on third party tools.

First time visiting your site, and great to see that you are a fellow lacrosse player.
I'd like to add #11 - sometimes the best thing you can do is lay someone out with a huge, open field hit near a ground ball. You might be penalized, but it will do wonders for your team's morale (and you might not get this, as I've seen the way Americans shy away from big hits).

micah On the West Coast where the play isnt as "refined" as the East Coast,
you find more big hits. But, yes, sometimes, you just need to knock
someone over...
